Good players you suck with
There was a thread for underrated players a little while ago, but on the opposite end of the spectrum does anyone else have good players that they just can’t get it together with? I get crushed with Jacob deGrom nearly every start, 6 innings and three runs has become a good day for him. Yet if you put Rick Porcello on the mound I can dominate...go figureTags: None -

In my Nats/Angels franchise, I'm struuuugling big time pitching wth Ohtani in 5 starts his ERA is 8.15, for some reason only hitting about .220 with Rendon(I can actually feel myself pressing in his abs and about .210 with Trout with seemingly a DP hit into every other game. Good news though in first place with Angels because the other starting pitcher have been greatand have some guys in the lineup off to career years.🤞🏽

Not this year but, two years ago I couldn’t hit a lick with Josh Donaldson. This year I’m getting more positives than negatives with borderline players.

thank the maker we can now tweak batting stances. if somebody on my team has a stance that just doesn't work for me, my hitting coach sends him to the cage to work on it till it does work. nothing major, it's usually just a closed stance that needs to be opened a wee bit.OSFM23 - Building Better Baseball - OSFM23

Re: Good players you suck with
I'm in mid-May with my Phillies and Bryce Harper is hitting about .250, which is fine, but I have a hard time getting him to walk. I believe he's only walked 8 times and I'm pretty patient and try to work the count. My team is around the middle of the pack in walks so I definitely can draw some. It seems like he's always down 0-2 or 1-2 with pitches on the black always called strikes.
I've cut his strikeout rate some, he is averaging a little less than one per game as I've been using more contact swings when I have 2 strikes. He leads my team in GIDP. I would love to know what his BA is for balls in play because it seems he is always hitting the ball hard right at someone. I use directional hitting and I do usually try to have him pull but I do use the other way some as well, especially with 2 strikes.
His production numbers are fine, he has 12 or 13 HR's and 30-some RBI. I'm curious to see if his average rises some over the year as his BABIP comes to the norm and his walk rate improves."It's a dog-eat-dog world and I'm wearing Milk-Bone underwear."

I had him in 19, found that they were always shifting, so I'd just go the other way. Less homers, but a ton of doubles.2025 Expos Expansion:https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...gid=1295163793Comment

Re: Good players you suck with
His first AB in a game last night - backdoor slider hits the lower outside corner, a smidgen of the ball on the strike zone box - strike 1. Next pitch, on the inside edge, actually a bit off the plate - strike 2. He's always in the hole, though I did work a walk with him in another AB last night.
I'm not complaining about the game, I'm having a blast."It's a dog-eat-dog world and I'm wearing Milk-Bone underwear."
