Re: MLB The Show 20 Patch 1.14 Available, Team Provides Update For Summer Circuit
I've played over 250 games this year. I see no changes to hitting. There are ebbs and flows to the game. I know I went on a streak of 20-30 games I couldn't hit and seemed like i was only getting warning track power. I thought power was adjusted. Then one game it all came back with a flourish.
One thing I am noticing is in season 2 of this franchise after patch, I'm not seeing any in game injuries. I'm playing with slider at 8 and I'm in mid May and have yet to see an injury. The 1st season I played I was getting tons.

Fair enough.. But players warping/glitching across the screen has been happening only recently. No idea what's causing it with auto fielding.Comment

It's kind of odd that the game was in really good shape up until 1.12/1.13, and now 1.14 is - for me - kind of a mess. Maybe the developers were bored with the delayed season. As they say, the developers are "in a real funk."
I play the game for fun - more so than many of you who are serious and keep difficulty high (which is required for online gaming).
For me, the glitches + gameplay changes (harder) have driven me away for the time being.Comment

I've played a zillion games (ok, not quite - but you get the point).
Hitting - zero change. Nothing impacted at all. I have actually had to make the cpu pitching more difficult, and add some added pop to the cpu's bats.
Fielding - I'm now seeing these random warping glitches that I had never seen before, most notably with outfielders coming in for hard liners that drop in front of them. This is now a problem.
Otherwise - I absolutely am having a blast with this game. Last night I played with my 1997 roster. Kansas City (cpu) at White Sox. Random game. Long story short, I blow a lead as my bullpen blew up. Down 1 bottom of the 9th. Jeff Montgomery comes in for KC to close. He walks the first batter (he struggled that season in real life). Next guys singles. Next guy grounds out. LH batter Dave Martinez - and I crush the most perfectly timed hit of a hanging curve to deep right center. Walkoff HR winner - I win 7-5. In games like this you just have to enjoy it - either way. But man, what a feeling when it happens!STEELERS INDIANS CELTICS

Re: MLB The Show 20 Patch 1.14 Available, Team Provides Update For Summer Circuit
Not sure if it is the most recent update but my franchise mode now lags/freezes for a few seconds every half inning and has made the game virtually unplayable. Any ideas as to why?Comment

Can you run the game off an external drive to see if that's better?
Note - this never happened to me on my PS4, but did happen on my XBOX, and after moving games to an external Seagate drive, the lag/skip went away.
Side-note - replacing an internal XBOX drive is an absolute nightmare. Upgrading/replacing the PS4 drive was super incredibly simple, except it took time to move games >> backup the core stuff >> install PS4 software >> restore core >> move games backComment
