Lol! I only play offline franchise. I probably should have specified that.

I played 2 games last night off internet and it did seem to play different. Coincidence...... to early to say. They both were really low scoring games and around the league, the scores and hits were lower as well. Like everything else in the show, I'll just plug along and see how it goes till I can make a better judgment.

This is just fake news!! The Show does nothing wrong, how dare you. Even if you are offline it will bend the space time continuum until you are forced to play online and appease the gods of DD by buying packs and playing the way they want you to play the game. Game 3 playing unconnected. 2 total runs in the first 2 games lost..... game 3, is a 12-4 victory. I really hope it is just evening out or something. My team scored 9 runs in the 2nd. 9, 9 runs. From 0 offense to a 12 run game. I hope every series isnt this way.

5 game analysis, It doesnt play like baseball thus far. Very lackluster in my opinion and very extreme one way or the other. Out of 5 games, only 1 has been (over extreme some) over powering offense. Even that game it was 1 half inning (the 2nd) where they scored 8 runs, then 0 offense through 7 innings. Going to plug along still disconnected for another 5 games. I really dont think you need a 40-50 game test. I instantly noticed a change after the first game.

Personally I think this year's game is very much about working the count, getting your pitch, etc. Its not like years past where you can just swing at everything. I have days where I hit the heck out of the ball, and then some days where I can't buy more than 2 hits and have to scratch and claw.

Personally, this is my favorite iteration of this game in a while. I think everything is very smooth. I mostly play franchise exclusively as well.

8-10 pitches an at bat I think is getting pretty deep into counts lol. Its really a comparison (if any) playing connected vs playing with out the internet.

All I play is offline franchise.

Idk how much a coincidence it is, but 2 series in row, 0 offense in the first two games, then last game over offense. This series ended with 2 hr combined in 2 games, and last game had 9 total. I just don't like the way the game feels. It just wasn't baseball to me. The stats, ok. How the stats are achieved not so much.

I do think this game can exaggerate the ebb and flow of baseball quite a bit and predictably too. One must embrace the cliche " it's just baseball," to fully enjoy their franchise. At times I do, realizing it's just a video game and I play to have fun. Other times I forget and the fun goes out the window.
Case in point, my pitching staff had been really good, allowing 2 runs over 43 innings in a 3 game series ( 2 games were extra innings). I knew a "stat correction" was coming. Sure enough the cpu touched me up for 12 runs and 22 hits the next game. They were unstoppable regardless the pitcher. Yes this is just baseball and these games do occur over 162. But it's the predictability and sameness of it's occurences which can grow old.

I agree. Sometimes when I post its right after a game so, I too for the most part have fun and enjoy MLBTS, but I also forget sometimes its a game as I really get immersed and forget that its just a game, its own universe, and post when I am still heated lol. For that I apologize to the community, SDS and OS. I try to remember I really look at all 162 games as a whole, because exactly the "ebb and flow" isnt there. Which makes it hard going series to series sometimes.
