who's that guy and what his batting rating in your roster ? I'm just curious to see if it's the case.
I honestly don't remember. I want to say it was Moncado or someone from KC. Its my carryover franchise, so players have moved. I'm sure it is based on attributes more then actual stats. Its just funny.

Madden get rid of the extras (SS/XF, HFA, media, scenarios, game plan) or turn them down considerably.

Was 15 the last year it was offered?

That long huh. Sounds about right. I know back then if you turned it to only have one commentator, Matt wouldn't say lines like "Tell us what you know about this guy" to a non-existant announcer. I bet when they brought in new guys they didn't want to put the work in to make it so those lines wouldn't be said and just took away the option. Shame really, the one man booth was the best back in the day.

I was able to rename Barry Bonds to a pretty obscene name, that I am surprised was allowed.

Not so much funny, but just annoying: DeRo praising a guy for becoming a solid pro after having been a middle round pick. I mean, c'mon, everybody knows the baseball draft is a crap shoot.

Then there's "they really stayed staunch on their ability to..." and "the threat this guy possesses"; those lines always have me like

So a few weeks ago I turned commentary back on for a game to freshen things up and of course I plunked a guy which got a Matty V " ouch-bay" that I just can't stand. Unfortunately it stuck in my head and for the past weeks I catch myself saying it 4 or 5 times throughout the day.

especially if they were a 3rd round product of the Show's minimalist draft. that's a middle-rounder you may have great expectations for

Not sure the exact line but Matt V. mentioning that some cooking show will be delayed because the game is in extra innings. More small touches like that would be great.

Pointed this out last year or the year before, but the commentary that includes some of the ballpark features weather real or fake gets me sometimes, like when there was a deep home run to left in Coors Field it landed at the concourse and to my surprise Matty said something to the effect of "This one is off the Frozen Yogurt stand! Tasty and out of here!"

They just need to get away from analyzing every single pitch to the point that they’re still going on about one pitch three pitches after it’s been thrown. Less of this and more stories, stats about current player at bat, teams playing, stadium, etc. I’m assuming/ hoping next-gen should definitely allow for more of this.

Idk if this is in the newer games but in MLBTS 16 he makes a similar comment about the long-running animated series 'The Wilkersons' being delayed when a night game goes into extras. Kind of a funny homage to The Simpsons I'm sure

I don't think this falls into the category of funny I wish they would prioritize things after a guy hits a home run if he hits a home run that breaks a current record or previous record from the past they should acknowledge it even if it's a second or 3rd home run that they hit that game right now a guy can hit 74 home runs the announcer says and that's is 2nd home run of the game and ignore that he broke the home run record.
