Here's another good one, when the batter at the plate has a 3-0 count and is leading the league in OPS and leading the team in every offensive category, Plesac, says "I'm more afraid of the guy on deck than the guy at the plate, this is the guy I want right now."

Or when the guy on deck is hitting .215 with 4 homer runs and 10 rbi. Really Dan?

I'm kind of glad to find out I'm not the only one who loathes Dan with a passion. He is the reason why I turned commentary off.

I'd say I hope they rotate Dan out of the both next year, but I don't think anything will convince me to turn commentary back on now that I'm used to it being off.

I go thru stretches, off for a month, then vice versa. When I do have it on its primarily background noise. I'd really love to see a whole new crew. They don't even have to be professional announcers (baseball guys) Get some good quality people (stop with the three man booths, its overkill) and give them a ton of lines and dialogue.

I'm really tired of hearing them talk about a subject then the next guy repeats verbatim the same thing. Play a game at Citi Field and listen to them talk about the Seven Line Army (who primarily by the way are usually only there for weekend games). Happens every game, I'm sure it is the same for other parks.

I was playing with the Dodgers and was batting with Kershaw. One of the announcers said what was the manager thinking on starting him against a left handed pitcher. Like I would not start Kershaw so he doesn’t have to bat against a LHP.

What were you thinking, Kershaw is strictly a platoon guy, lol. I had a game where they mix up talking about the batting title race and homerun race. They keep trying say that Pete Alonso needs to hit another homerun to keep the pace going to get closer. Ummm. Pete isn't going to win the batting title and has a good hold on the homerun title, first in the majors by 7. Come on fellas stop confusing everything up.

maybe it would help if Kershaw didn't hit 9th, maybe a little later, like 11th or 12th lolbut I blame DH's: they already took half of a pitchers job away from them, they won't be happy till they take the other half away and get the mound role too.

Another one to add and I see this a lot in my RTTS. After I popped out to an infielder, my player's next at-bat Mark will say "Almost, Matty, almost went deep last AB."

Sure I did, maybe in tee-ball Mark.

I too typically play with commentary off, but my all time favorite is after a HBP Vasgersian says, "ouch baby"

I was playing tonight and heard something new. The PA announcer was listing off post game LOB stats after a 16 inning game and said, "The Padres left an incredible amount of runners on base"

Technically its "Ouch Babe". Its a reference to Sammy Davis Jr.

Ah, now it makes more sense. Definitely before my time but also definitely still stuck in my head and comes out daily. Thanks for the input!

Thanks to you giving me the actual saying it's now stuck in my head more then ever. I must have said it out loud 30 times today. Thankfully I work alone and can be as weird as I like.

I just heard for the first time"That would get a 10 from an East German judge".Clever because it was PC & not everyone would get it.
