It would consume a lot of programmer hours to build the game for xbox and/or pc.

I understand the desire to capture a bigger audience and more revenue but I always believed limiting the game to one console gave us more content because all the developers were focused on playstation.

As a franchise player - manage mode - mlbts 20 was just about perfect so I wouldn't be upset with essentially the same game which I suspect is what we will get if they are expanding to other platforms.

One console only gave us more content? It’s been practically the same game for yearswiyh very minimal tweaks lol

If there is seriously going to be no change this year then there is no point releasing a game. just do a patch update for MLB 20. and we can pay $20 for it. and it updates uniforms and rosters and schedule.

I would consider not bothering to buy 21 if no change. all it would be is a roster update with the rookies no longer rookies from 2020.

If only their was a way to edit all service time I would do this now and just start 2021 season with mlb 20.. seeing we didn't even use the schedule this year what's it matter?

if it makes good business sense to release a game, that's the point in releasing. the bottom line is what matters more than any other thing.
and Show 20 is the first year you can edit service time, even real players service time can be edited

If the season is postponed again (which it most likely the case) I wouldn’t mind a later release so they can polish it some more and release a super solid game from the start.

Wait... you can edit real players service time?? I thought it was only created players or SCEA players you could edit service time?

I actually thought of doing a roster like that with updated contacts(updating service time and years left) with updated transactions.

I would be in for helping out with that. with so much uncertainly what the season will even be this year let alone the game coming out I think I want to do what I did last year and do my own thing and have my own world season it was fun. it got me through those dark times in March to may when it was at the worst!

Or you could use Bacons Fictional Roster and just go on with life and not worry about having the latest roster. I am in year 3 of my franchise and my world. Doing 30 team so that I can switch teams whenever I want to and just keep playing. For a lot of us this game plays a whole lot better with these rosters. You should give them a try.
