Unless its been added after the tech test, no, you cannot turn off the homerun camera.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Thanks for sharing that info countryboy. Really disappointed to hear this, I just can’t understand why they can’t give us the option back. Im on the fence if I buy this year, as silly as it sounds having the option for 21 would make it a 100% purchase for me. What’s sucks more is the request is ignored and never acknowledged by the dev teamComment

Re: Questions about Pitching & Hitting in MLB The Show 2021?
Looking for an honest answer - What don’t you like about it?
I actually love it. Some home runs are suspenseful where you don’t know if it’s going to clear, and other home runs are no-doubters. I love the feel of crushing a no-doubter and seeing a different angle as opposed to the same one tracking the ball across the field over and over.
I do, however, definitely agree that it’d be nice to have the option to toggle off. I think a lot of presentation items could use an on/off/sometimes option.

I don’t mind it. I wish they wouldn’t do it with down the line home runs where they hit the pole. It should at least give you suspense.Looking for an honest answer - What don’t you like about it?

There was another thread about it, I think I’m the one that made it but I’m not sure lol. I was wondering the same thing, why some people hate it. The common answer was that some people highly enjoy broadcast style presentations, meaning, they want it to look and feel as close to a real life broadcast as possible. They find the no doubt home run camera jarring and unrealistic and basically ruins the immersion.Looking for an honest answer - What don’t you like about it?

I however love it. As you said I love crushing the ball and getting that satisfying camera moon shot view and watching the batter toss his bat. It used to be an option but they took it out apparently.Comment

I agree. I definitely lean towards wanting a realistic presentation, however I LOVE the HR cam. Definitely showcases the custom HR animations. But an option to turn it off/tone it down would be a nice featureThere was another thread about it, I think I’m the one that made it but I’m not sure lol. I have the same question, the waters still seem to be a bit murky on this subject, specially.Last edited by nolczyk16; 04-05-2021, 02:22 AM.Comment

Re: Questions about Pitching & Hitting in MLB The Show 2021?
I'm in this camp myself. I don't hate the camera, because I do like that it shows off the HR swings, but I tend to lean towards preferring a broadcast style representation, which the HR cam is not. Hence why the option to toggle yes/no would be terrific. There was another thread about it, I think I’m the one that made it but I’m not sure lol. Re: Questions about Pitching & Hitting in MLB The Show 2021?
Hello! I am a new user from Xbox! Is classic pitching and directional hitting the most sim “realistic” settings that I should use? Thanks.Comment

Those two settings rely heavily on the player stats and less on the user input so should be what you are looking for.Comment

I’m new to the show as well. What batter/pitcher control option is most dependent on user skill and not player stats?? ThanksComment
