I want to see standout infielders matter. I can use a weaker ss and still make the same diving plays in the hole.

Hopefully there will be more that will be revealed.

Standout infielders don’t even matter as much in real baseball, because of the overuse of the ridiculous shifts. They need to go back to 3B and SS stay on the left side of the 2B bag, and 2B/1B stay to the right of it, and also no infielders on the outfield grass. It would bring the game back to what it was meant to be with more base hits and more base runners.

Ramone looking a little older and chunkier (who of us aren't right now though, am I right?) But he wears it very well. Good to see you Ramone!

This is way off-topic, but since he mentioned the tech test, I wanted to say I just turned on my PS4 for the first time in like over a month, and noticed I got a message invite about the tech test. I thought I was going to get an e-mail about it, so when I didn't get one I figured I didn't get in.

Is the tech test still on, or can I not try it out anymore?

        Thanks!

          The tech test is over.

But.....if it will let you download it, you can still play the practice (Options Explorer)
          aspect of the BETA.

At least, this was true about a week ago. I have since deleted the game.

A lot about what they've done to make fielding easier for those who want it easier. If you're like me and want fielding to be really easy, just use auto fielding

Can confirm as I did the same. I think also, if you wanna pick teams, try doing practice and select the teams you want and then go into options explorer and start a game. Might load the teams in question and stadium (can't confirm this, but it was odd it was the two teams I used in team practice a few minutes beforehand).

I love autofield but not to make it easier. quite the contrary: as someone who prefers the pitching aspect of the Show to batting, it helps me get drawn in to the experience if, as a pitcher, I have to rely on my teammates behind me to have my back, I can't realistically strikeout 27 batters so my 8 teammates have to help me out. or hurt me. I do like to make the throws to bases though. just fun as hell to make those long throws to first from deeepp in the shortstop hole. or turning a quickquick double play and having to make sure my head is in the game by not accidentally throwing to straight to first and only get 1 out instead of 2

Bro I could not have said it better myself. My same thoughts on why I use auto fielding too. I see better animations too I think because of it

me too I use it for realism really so the players do their thing based on ratings not by me...same goes for auto bases too I hate manually doing it! this is why I have a huge problem with the check swing crap that it is all on the user now.

I wonder if the new fielding engine, so to speak, was fully implemented in the tech test. I didn't feel a huge difference other than seeing new animations.

The shift is over a century old.

I’m afraid so, apparently “complete fielding overhaul” meant just improving catches at the wall and better visual aids for robbing homeruns.

Exactly my thoughts. When I heard overhaul I was excited, I saw very little change.
