I’ll keep saying this so long as it’s necessary to do so. Developers want you to think franchise players are a dying breed. The truth is that their social media interaction for franchise posts is as active as their posts about other modes.

Re: MLB The Show 21 Quick Q&A Video - March to October & Franchise Mode
I've watched the video a few times and something I thought was interesting was when Ramone answered the question regarding the MtO depth chart being in Franchise and he said YES, and that it actually started in franchise and they liked it so much they moved it to MtO. That got me to thinking. What if the devs view MtO and Franchise as interchangeable in regards to logic and when they are answering broad questions it applies to both modes?
So when Ramone answers questions regarding changes/upgrades to line-ups/rotations; trade logic being tuned/reworked; budget logic being improved; improvements to contract logic; and call-ups/send downs, what's the chances that it's all the same in their minds and applies to BOTH MtO and Franchise, even if only one or the other was mentioned? I'm probably completely wrong and reading too much into it, but my thinking is that anything tweaked in one would have to apply to the other due to being able to carry your MtO into Franchise mode.
And yes, there are features I'd like to see added or expanded upon. But it wasn't too long ago they removed the word "revamped" from franchise mode, so I'll gladly take quality of life upgrades and [hopefully] vastly improved AI in all aspects of the game.
If MTO and Franchise aren’t built on the same logic (either MTO built using the old Franchise logic or a new Franchise built using the new MTO logic) then they are seriously doing it wrong.

look at quick counts for example. you can't turn QC on and off mid-game because the two logics don't mesh rightOSFM23 - Building Better Baseball - OSFM23

Re: MLB The Show 21 Quick Q&A Video - March to October & Franchise Mode
Considering when the initial marketing material was released earlier this year, it was mentioned that Franchise was "revamped" only to have it changed to "updated"...that should alone have people temper their expectations. I would expect some small changes but nothing on the scale of a complete revamp.est 1978
