Just bring back season mode and implement MTO as an option at the start of your franchise. Stop trying to sell MTO as the latest and greatest. It does not need to be a seperate mode all together

Just curious, what would be the difference between it being a franchise option and its own mode? You can already treat it as an alternative way to play the first year of a franchise.

I don't understand why people who only want to play one season don't just play one season in franchise.

Why spend all the developer time on a separate mode?

I'm curious if it now does, or the combined stream has both modes blended.

That screen is in Franchise. In the stream, they got to it by starting a franchise.

I'm not sure if it has been said already, but my biggest issue with Franchise the last few years has been just the atmosphere and commentary. Especially in the post season. I want the ball game to feel alive and the right moments and dead when you hit a 3 run bomb on the road to put the game all but out of reach. I'm sick and tired of seeing my pitcher fist pump after he finally gets out of an inning in which he gave up the lead or gave up 3-4 runs. That's not even close to realistic. I'm tired of seeing the same arguing animations after I strike out swinging, especially with a guy like Goldy, who is as professional of a player as I've seen. the animations are tired and over used. I want the commentators to not say the same recycled material for the last several years over and over.

This is honestly my biggest gripe with the mode recently, it has become increasingly more difficult for me to enjoy grinding a full 162 with the same mundane commentary track and commentators. (I don't mind Matt Vasgersian, but the other two are unbearable a lot of the times.) It's even more off putting when I do get through a tough 162 and then get into the post season and it literally feels like a game in the middle of May, and not a playoff game.

I just don't see anything in Franchise that can keep my interest.

Lineup/pen/trade logic is great but the BIGGEST part of a ballclub is securing the future, a.k.a. player development. Drafting, scouting other teams, developing prospects, hit vs. miss prospects...I sorely desire for a system that dives into this.

I know we have DD that young kids get into, rightfully so. I think this would be the natural step as they learn more about baseball...all of us have prospects we watched grow up and wanted to see succeed in the majors.

For me, it was Jason Heyward - I literally SCREAMED when he hit a 3-run HR his first AB in the majors. I want to have that same thrill focusing on a particular player go from draft -> prospect -> top 50 prospect > MLB ready > MVP caliber

...but hey, maybe that's just me.

The whole point of franchis mode is to continuously build teams year after year. Baseball is the number 1 sport in America where developing talent matters. Guys spend years in the minor developing. Top prospects that we know the names of on draft night don't even see the big leagues for years. A huge chunk of these players never pan out, others do. That's what makes baseball special is seeing a kid get drafted and 3 years later they make their debut, or they get drafted and 5 years later they're still not ready and you give up on them, then they either flame out or find another organization that gives them a try and they sometimes become late bloomers who eventually do make the league.

It's not represented well in this game yet. If the scouting and developing of players alone was just deep, then all of the other features the mode is missing out on would not matter near as much and it would still be deep and have tons of playability. However, since the scouting and progression system we have now are both incredibly generic and linear, the other missing features stick out even more because the depth isn't coming from anywhere in the mode other than the user's imagination.

I could say the same thing about March to October. I can sim games on my own, why should I have a whole other mode need to do that for me?

It was already in the game at one point, so the bigger question is why they removed it.

At least with March to October your performance in the played games directly impacts how the sims go. That doesn't happen inside of franchise mode. It's actually a neat concept that would be nice to have as a feature that could be toggled off and on in franchise mode and could have a slider to allow us to change how much influence the played games had over the simulated games.

The plain and simple of it is there needs to be a serious competitor, but unfortunately baseball isn't as profitable and popular in the gaming world. There is ZERO incentive to update game modes that are not the cash cow that is DD.

Dude, this is exactly what I want too. I'm a prospect nut. I research them, know all about them 20/80 scales etc.

Hopefully that is something they are looking to expand upon. It would be a blast to do all that.
