And the “breadcrums” scattered over the dirt was littary a ps4 feature when moving from the ps3. So that basically hasn’t improved since...8 years?

It has to be that They are fine with it....

After all these years with the same grass look you have to wonder that they are sacrificing quick framerate performance rather than long term great looking grass
in that case gimme the framerate. I hate the dirt but I can live with the grass. the dirt looks like if someone swept up just a little they would find a polypropylene floor

There is something done with the sand, dirt on next gen that was never mention or talked bout that many will enjoy. I can’t say what it is until release, but another “little things” that makes this game realistic.

I know the creator is only next gen. But I wonder if the 30 stadiums will be in current gen since we can, I assume, still "rebrand" our teams and such? It would be a real deal breaker for me if we don't at least get the SDS created stadiums on the PS4 version.

I've had a ps5 since launch, and it seems to me that right now the main advantage of a ps5 version will be high framerate and high graphics/res being able to exist at the same time. That's how it is for the Show 20, God of War, etc...

As others have remarked, so long as devs have to develop a game to coexist on current gen AND next gen, the next gen version will be artificially capped in a lot of ways.

Ok looking back at the legends trailer the dirt in this particular shot looks better but then in other shots it looks exactly the same as previous years. So maaaaybe they hadn’t updated all the stadiums in the previous videos/shots yet [emoji848]

Anyway can’t wait for the feature premiere upcoming thursday!

So per Ramone Russell, you can create a player 7 feet tall. You just cannot accurately recreate historic players like Cub Stricker who was 5'3" and weighed only 138 pounds

I hope you don’t mean that the field/dirt gets more stepped on as the game goes on because that has been in the game for years.

Nope not like this, I played the game for years myself. I know about chalk lines, dirt grooves etc but nope not what I'm referring to.

When I first notice it, I thought a windmill shadow was over me look odd at first then I realized what it was and what there trying to accomplish with it, nice feature once u get use to it.

No offense, but you also said after the franchise blog that we would all be surprised and saying we were sold. The biggest feature to franchise was a graphical update to the depth chart. If any of us were surprised, it was because SCEA found a way to fall short of the already low expectations for the mode.

Im not going to get into it with you here. Some like the changes some don't, some expected more. Rather with what changes were made or 0 changes again nobody will ever be satisfied.

No dev team knocks it out of the park in a yearly cycle the changes come in small pieces. If any of you learned anything from SDS is that w h enough they add a big feature they want it done right or not at all it might take a couple years but franchise it getting attention might not be at the pace everyone wants but there building onto these small changes this year.

By no means am I defending them, I don't play offline I am only interested in league play, and still pissed that online franchise was taken away and what custom leagues are is nothing like we once had.

There's been 0 news , no advertising, no stream about it at all so I'm probably going to be highly disappointed another season, but even after all of that I can see the strides they did make even without y2y saves, no online franchise back yet, the fielding overhaul is huge the create a stadium which ill never use but something that was asked for 10 years finally was added.

More high resolution scans, stadiums, grass, dirt with 1000k animations for me its a step in right direction.

The few things that were added are baby steps and some long term fans and new are expecting LEAPS. SDS has never operated like that then, now or maybe not even in the future.

Another note is im a roster editing fool and years of exporting and importing no longer available, yes it sucjs but we all have gotten spoiled with features yes we're game changing, but weren't available to us years ago and we managed it just fine. We just half to go back and do things old skool or from scratch like we did years ago.

I remember years ago a certain firefighter that set for hours building a roster player by player that took hours, days and weeks to get out to our community here at OS.

Does it suck that a easier method gotten taken away? Sure it does but not the end of the world or gaming, we dust ourselves off and find another method.

You know I was expecting a poor mans stadium creator. But man, it appears the wait was worth it. I can’t wait to see what some of the more talented artist on here do with it. Hats off to SDS for this.

Are you sure we can’t import our 20 rosters into 21? I haven’t seen that confirmed, might have missed that. Will be a big disappointment if so....but it’s a long season and i’ll just have to rebuild it. I do have fun with the rosters like you. I’ll get it done.

I look at that photo of the dirt around 2nd. Is there supposed to be something wrong with it?

We knew there would have to be some changes with the PS5 on deck, the Xbox, etc. I just don’t get some of the obssession over the degree of dirt degregation, etc. Like you, the world doesn’t end and I’m gonna enjoy the crap out of this on the 15th. Even if I have to put some days of work into it before starting the season.
