I’ve never conceded that baseball has a pace or time problem. I think it’s a false narrative created to justify making changes that are expected to generate short term revenue gains. I love the combination of calm vs excitement that baseball has over other sports imho.

Me neither. If they were worried about time they could cut the time between innings. But that would never happen cause the networks would throw a fit.Follow me on Twitch

Re: The runner on 2nd to start extra innings rule. Yes or no?
I love the pace of baseball & as long as the 90% of games stay under 3 & a half hours, I'd let 3 hour games stand.
BUT... if mlb were really serious about getting games back under 2 & a half hours (spoilerhint: they aren't) they'd cut offence into. they could begin by raising the mound back to 15'' instead of 10''. but mlb wants to have its cake & eat it also too as well. so offence stays & mlb keeps chasing neon rainbowsOSFM23 - Building Better Baseball - OSFM23

I honestly wish they would do that for Yankees and Red Sox doing their batter's box routines. I remember back in the day watching Roy Halladay get impatient with those two teams. It happens still sometimes. Like, guys, if the pitcher is getting impatient, you're taking to long.

I think batters should not be allowed to step out and pitchers not allowed to step off(unless there are runners on base).Comment

Re: The runner on 2nd to start extra innings rule. Yes or no?
Can this runner on 2nd rule be switched in the off season? I haven't actually reached the off season yet in my franchise so I wouldn't know yet. I deeply regret keeping this stupid thing on to start my franchise, and am thinking of restarting it -- which is incredibly annoying because I do a drafted one.Comment

Yes. They just patched that in a few weeks ago.
