I just went to theshownation.com and went to the FAQ and found this

Now I have more questions than I did before!

Does that mean 7 slots total for all other consoles?

So if it’s in on ps5, why would it be limited!? I’m struggling to make sense of it. The fact it’s changed at all is bad news.

I think I’m going to cancel my pre-order and see what others make of it before I give them any money for what’s looking to be a vastly inferior game to 20.

That would be the reason. They probably require feature parity on both consoles.

As long as we can upload our own music for the slots they do provide that’s all I care about.

The new Xbox doesn’t seem like it’s going to be getting the ability to add music any time soon so I doubt the parity issue will matter in the future. Worst case scenario it’s a year one issue and then they bring it back in full force next year.

I know Sony made an exception for SDS to implement using music from a thumbdrive for The Show, I'm not sure why Microsoft couldn't do the same thing for Xbox.

Xbox is USB 3.0 flash drive friendly. It should be able to do SOTS

I don’t see any way both of them won’t have SOTS this year then. Probably will just be limited year one to Walkup/pitcher entry/Hr music like they mentioned on that ShowNation FAQ page.

For whatever it's worth the original Xbox allowed you to have custom music in 2 different ball games one had Nomar on the cover the other was NCAA 06 baseball

"Sounds of the Show is available on PlayStation 4 consoles. On all other consoles, players will have 3 slots to set the Walk Up music, 1 slot to set the Home Run celebration, and 3 slots for Pitcher Entry music. Players will not be able to upload your own music on PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox X|S."

See link below and scroll down. They've updated it with the above quote since someone screenshot it earlier. A huge disappointment for those who have already upgraded. But at least most are still on PS4.

Horrible look for SDS. Games are supposed to take steps forward not back. Yikes.

The secrecy is what’s most maddening here.

Removing Y2Y saves and SotS and not plainly coming out and acknowledging why is bad business and a slap in the face to those who buy the game year after year.

Well if SDS was trying to make this game one of the worse, they succeeded. I am so mad I pre-ordered the JR edition and downloaded it. Cause it is now not refundable since it is preloaded. I really hope that the sales just plummet on this game. But probably not since it is on Xbox.

Dude I’m in the same boat.. I pre ordered on ps5 and pre loaded.. I hummed and hawed for weeks about getting 21 cause I felt the feature set was weak.. now one of the best features is missing... that would have been the deciding blow for me to not grab 21 at all this year. Without a doubt I honestly would rather have SOTS than the stadium creator on ps5.

They say nothing, yet people defend them all the time and bash ea and 2k.. hope this is a wake up call that they are no longer the sweetheart dev team they perhaps once were. They have been trending in this direction for a number of years now.. if it’s cause of Xbox and out of their control that’s fine, but man get ahead of it and be straight with loyal users who have purchased every year

This is the first time in 15 years I am not excited for the new game and regret buying it. Makes me mad even more that I spent extra to get it early. And i bought it a couple of days ago so that makes it worse.

But sadly, they don’t care. They made their money.

Will the PS4 version of 21 have SOTS? If I play that on the PS5, it should work right?
