Sorry it didn't work. I had a freeze issue with one of the video segments. Would freeze, and dashboard me. Did the above work around and fixed it.

Was hoping it could help others. If you figure anything out, or fix it, please post it here for others.

Ok, I got the constant RTTS crash fixed. I deleted all the save data directly from the hard drive, not through the game. When I started the game up it asked me if I wanted to get my player back from the cloud. The game didn't crash at my first attempted game. It was only a pinch hitting situation so I'll have to try more, but I think it's fine now.

Edit: You need to delete everything, the saves and the "Reserved Space".

Well, unfortunately it appears that my save is corrupted on the cloud as well as this did not work for me. I did try creating a new RTTS and I am able to play with no issues. Really disappointed that it appears my original save file is corrupted and just plain unplayable. I really can't think of anything to try at this point.

Something I forgot to mention (I'll edit the previous post if I can) is that you have to delete the "Reserved Space" as well. That gets your Ballplayer off of your console and when you start the game it will ask if you want to get it from the cloud.

Well, I finally made gold archetype after SIX seasons...over 100 hours played....

Now an 87 ovr.

You know, the changes to RTTS wouldn't be that bad if progression actually worked. I actually enjoy working for the archetypes!

It seems they have worked on it as I now get progression about 75% of the time, but what about the other 25%? Why has this not been fixed?!

Oh well, making the best of it and having fun despite it...just glad I don't have the crashing issues some of you are having, so gotta look at the bright side (I am on an XBSX as well).

Are you sure it's not actually tracking? Reason I say this is that I have found that if all you have left are the reoccuring missions and you complete them in the game, it doesn't show any progress on the screen after the game but it did complete them. Using slugger loadout for instance you have 2 reoccuring missions.........24 plate appearances and 5 extra base hits. If I enter a game with 22 plate appearances and 4 extra base hits in my missions..........I get 4 plate appearances and a double. It shows on the end of game screen no progress. But if you then go into your loadout you see 0/24 for plate appearances and 0/5 for extra base hits and your overall progress at the top left did improve by 5 (the points you get for both missions combined).

This brings me to something else I noticed. Those reoccuring missions reset to 0 when you complete them in game, even if you only needed 2 plate appearances and got 5 at bats. You would think it would now be at 3 plate appearances but it is not...it resets to 0 after the game where you complete the mission.

Yeah, I am quite certain they aren't always tracking. They are more often than not, but it's still got a major bug in my experience.

With the patch decided to dive back into RTTS.

Haven’t done it in years but tried a closer, played about 5 seasons and made it to Diamond and a 95 rating. All stats appeared to track, was actually pretty fun except I was on the Rangers and the team had 5 dreadful seasons then traded me to the Brewers mid season where we won a WS. You can play seasons incredibly quick and level up fast as a closer.

After that I restarted a two way player as a starter/Right Fielder. The 95 closer rating I had translated to 99 as a starter. It still took me till late August for a call up, I was able to level up to silver as a batter. I will say it takes way longer to level up your hitter. than your pitcher. It is annoying they sit you so much as a position player, roughly half the games between starts. I did have problems with disconnects and stats tracking after I made the majors, I’d say half the games counted. The playoffs magnified this, after starting game 1 of the NLCS they sat me game 2, then didn’t pitch me the rest of the series that went 6 games even though I was a 99 rating. I think this is because when you have the hitting load out selected they redo the starting rotation based on that rating and I’m only a 71 RF. It’s also frustrating that as a pitcher with the pitching load out selected on starting days you’re gimped as a hitter, that makes no sense.

I really can't stand the "artificial difficulty" that it gives you. I'll give an example.

Your team is currently ahead, score is 6-5. You're on defense and bases are loaded. You're at 3rd base. The ball is a grounder hit straight to you, but you can't pick it up cleanly and when you do get a hold of the ball, and throw it to first he's safe, run comes in to tie the game.

You mean to tell me every other time I can grab the ball no problem, and sometimes make amazing diving catches, but in THIS "situation", I bobble the ball on the ground causing the game to tie.

This is just one example of where the game does something to make the game more difficult regardless of the sliders/settings, and I can't stand it.

It's been this way forever.

Yup, I also had my standard RTTS three week stretch where no matter how much I squared up on the ball it was a dribbler and a three week stretch where no matter how bad my swing was it was out of the ballpark or in the gap.

Playing a season with player lock on franchise this didn’t happen to my player, it was consistent all season.

I always mess with the sliders for trade, even if I get no XP cause they trade way to much at times. I saw the Cubs once dump Baez Bryant Rizzo and Hendricks. They just gave up that season.

If people do wanna be a two way player it isn’t impossible, you just need to to say you do not wish to be a two way player at first. Trust me this will help you in the long run. Play like regular as a pitcher or hitter and get to the majors. Don’t accept any offers from AA or AAA to become a two-way player they will offer. Just keep playing as one or the other till you get to the majors. Once in the majors they will ask you there again and that’s when you say yes.

It’s dumb they make you feel so gimped and unable to do both properly but they will. This has been the only way I have found to get on a team quickly and not se to be gimped by playing as a two way player. Once in the majors you shouldn’t have any issues again and you will just stay in the league.

In my year 7 season as closer they asked again if I wanted to two way player as a closer/RF so I’m trying it and yeeeeesh that is broken, I haven’t pitched in over a month.

I saw on twitter where someone said if your RTTS game is crashing when you sim to your first appearance, that if you sim your first game it won't crash and you will be able to play as usual. I haven't tried it so not sure how well it works. The work arounds for stuff in this game are ridiculous right now.
