Same. I'm still in AA and I think I'm 4-1 with an ERA of about 1.3 or something. About 50 SO. Most of my games are 0-0 for about 7 innings it seems. I thought it was strange as well.

I did a few tests with just simming the game today. If you play as almost any form of a two way player whether pitching first with a little hitting or hitting first with a little pitching the game just doesn’t want to take you no matter how well you did.

I simmer a character that was shortstop online after trying several times with a shortstop/SP combo never once being brought up and the shortstop got in instantly in the first season despite an awful simulation.

So, I suggest don’t do two way for now until you get to the Mlb. They will beg every day almost it felt to have you do two way once again when you get there so just wait a bit once there and you can start back up as a two way player.

I don’t think people are saying you have to do DD by design. What people are saying is for most, including myself, archetypes do not level by currently playing RTTS. Yes their intention is to make it so you can, but for so many they can’t. So yes for those people they do indeed have to play DD to go anywhere in upgrading your archetypes.

Trust me, I know that. I have the error myself. But I have also heard people say that the DD missions can have the same issues. Plus the server issues today makes any DD content a crapshoot on whether or not you will get credited with anything.

The best option right now is to not to play any Ballplayer related content until they fix the bug. That is what I have chosen to do.

So my answer was about how the mode should work when bugs are resolved not the current buggy state of he mode.

No way to change pitches from one player to another. I want to be a knuckleballer. Not cutter, curve, change my default ones I chose. Bummer.

They took the Knuckleball out entirely. What the freak. I uninstalled, wiped all previous RTTS files so I could start anew and bam, no more knuckleball. What a sham. What a maroon.

That, in itself, is a rather bizarre decision. Especially since they have guys like Niekro on the legends roster.

Well, as others have reported, once I got to AAA I COMPLETELY stopped progressing my program.

Nothing I do is counting towards advancing, even plate appearances arent counting.

How in the world did that get past testing?!

RTTS is a damn mess and its a shame....

Man you should count yourself lucky you got a seasons worth of progress. My spark plug stopped counting progress after 17 hits. Slugger stopped after 10 plate appearances. My pitcher...won’t even count an inning. As someone who paid for a four day early release; I got to play the game about two hours. They could give us stubs as a way to apologize ripping us off an extra $40...but they’ll just say “thank you for the feedback” which translates to “I’m wrong but I won’t apologize or reimburse the funds that our game contradicted.” It’s a dark day. They ****ed up a game I loved for 15 years

This is pathetic, and sadly I feel really bad for my Xbox friends who I swore to this game was the best sports game going and they're so lucky it's coming to Xbox and now they get this piece of garbage ponzi scheme.

I only played RTTS and its a mode I played more then any other on any other game. I would create 3 or 4 players with different types, builds, looks etc. Now I get 1 player with load outs? What is this Call of Duty? My attributes are capped at 50 and after almost 2 years in the minors I'm only 69 overall. At this rate I'll be 38 years old before I'm even good enough to be called up to the show. Of course everything is broken and they promise to fix it but even with the later release date this was clearly not tested but but your behind DD works perfectly.
And if you touch the sliders suddenly you can't progress in the innings program. New games are supposed to give you more options and more freedom and instead they are forcing you to play modes you don't want to and game styles you might not like all to progress the one character you're allowed to have. They went backwards.

Way to take your most loyal and biggest fan base and kick them in the nuts to make a few extra bucks.

Here is hoping some of the fixes are sooner rather than later. I refuse to touch the mode again until my stats start counting for my Archetype progression since that is the main way to make your player better.

Same here. This company completely defeated the purpose of an early release edition. I paid ban extra $40 to get the game four days early, and I only got to play about two hours before my progress was bugged. So thanks SDS for basically stealing $40? 🤷🏻*♂️ I don’t know any other way to put it. If you paid for an early release and had this bug issue...SDS stole from you plain and simple. Now that it’s a day past the official release date, you can call me “officially pissed off”

I’m also finding it odd that all YouTubers haven’t had any bugs. They have had a flawless release and are making content without as much as a server error. I did the exact same RTTS play style. 3-4 different players, etc. They took something I loved for 15 years, grabbed it by the hair...and ****ed it to death.

how is this the best its ever been? the stupid loadout programs don't even work properly. I have 12 stolen bases only been credited for 3 in the loadout program. Have made 4 starts as a pitcher and not one of them have contributed anything at all to my pitching loadout program.
**** is just flat broken.

RTTS is a total disaster. How they allowed it to go live when the basic methods of progression are broken is inexplicably awful. The player loadouts don't work, so you have to leave every series after each game to get those to work. But those are fundamentally stupid in any case. So if you're hitting as a SLUGGER, you have power numbers over 60, but if you pitch in an NL game, your power numbers will be in the 30s. I don't think this was very well thought out.
Even when everything is working (assuming they actually even properly address this mess), it still doesn't make sense that your hitter will be awesome on days he's playing the field, and then he'll become a mediocre at best bat on days he's pitching.

But the idea that progression is broken in RTTS is simply inexcusable.

I've purchased The Show religiously every year since it first came out, and I've never complained as the kinks are usually minor for RTTS players like me, but this makes the mode completely unusable, which defeats the entire purpose of throwing away money to gain early access via pre-order.

It's amateur hour at SDS, which is a shame, as they used to be a beacon of quality.

Yeah I got robbed $40 on early release and got to play a whopping two hours before my progress bugged. As far as I’m concerned I should be getting mlb22 for $20

Why? You are not required to play any other mode besides RTTS. Despite the changes and everyone's hysterics RTTS can be played on it's own.

Now the changes are pretty drastic and you may or may not like them but don't fall for the naysayers who say you have to play DD to advance.

Until program progress bugs are fixed, they have no reason to play. An RTTS player is best to just wait until the patch update is released.

In theory that's true, but not in reality. At least not at the moment, because the progression method is broken and is not tracking stats towards the Silver Loadouts. If/when SDS decides to fix the issue, it's already a sunk cost for those who exclusively play RTTS and pre-ordered for early access. Those people got screwed and threw away extra money for nothing - for early access to a mode that is still fundamentally broken as of this moment.

It's amateur hour at SDS! There is no way around that.

RTTS should be the mode they've had long locked down, but they clearly didn't bother properly testing it after whatever latest tweaks they made before going live. It's simply inexplicable that they could allow that to happen. Server issues are one thing, but having a broken mode on RTTS - the mode that was their marquee game playing experience. No. It's inexcusable.

I doubt it will happen, but I REALLY hope they reexamine disabling XP for adjusting sliders.

I can NOT draw walks on default sliders, never have been able to.

Last year I could adjust the sliders so I could draw 40-50 walks a season. This year? I have a grand total of TWO walks in two seasons....

Plus I liked to put dynamic difficulty sliders at 1 and even that disables XP.

So the last great offline sport gaming experience has fallen...sad times.

10-15 years back sport games was all I played...now I barely own any sport games. Sucks.

Glad I held out and didn't buy MLB 21.

Has anyone found out why you are not able to change the default sliders without losing XP and such? Is that related to "ballplayer" being available in DD?
