I don't understand why they couldn't have left it the way it was. Create as many guys as you like, but only be able to use 1 RTTS player in DD at a time. If you select to play an RTTS guy, it would change them in your DD team. Really doesn't seem that hard. Just feels like they stripped a lot of the replay value from this mode in an effort to incorporate DD. Sadly, even if you get your RTTS player to diamond, he won't be relevant in a couple months because there will be so many better players available.

I don't mind the new loadout/progression system (if it was working, that is), but being stuck with one player is horrible. What happens when I get someone to the hall of fame and retire? If I want to start a new career, I have a hall of famer in AA. No need to work your way up from nothing again.

Fastball, changeup, curve.. fastball. changeup, curve.. fastball, changeup, curve to eternity. I should have a picked a knuckleball at first, oh wait they took that pitch out. Why does my 2B, 3B, CF SP 2nd SP all have the same name and face? Oh yeah because SDS is out of their mind.

I have been asking that question for years. Ever since they took away training points and the ability to apply them to any attribute you wanted. Every change since the (storylines, archetypes and now Ballplayer) have simply been ways to restrict the players choices.

I haven't been playing this game as long as some people, but I have played it for a solid 5 or 6 years. I don't once remember anyone who played RTTS asking for changes in the training points system. Training points and the ability to apply them how you wanted was great. Yet here we are, a stripped down, more restrictive mode, that nobody asked for. Change just for the sake of change is a dumb policy.

                nobody:

                absolutely no-one:

SDS (2018): yea so we're gonna strip away training points & freedom of player individuality. A lightning fast pitcher who can get on base & cause havoc is nonsense..

                community: ....wtf?...

SDS (2021): Ballplayer. Loadouts. Capped players, 2K style. It's gonna be awesome!!

Take your ballplayer anywhere. Any mode. You only get one avatar tho.. it's fine. You can take this guy to DD too. But we can't have you cheating by lowering sliders for max gains...so sliders stunt player progression. No...sliders, HALT player progression. Fair is fair.

                It's gonna be great!

Most game companies and devs respond back directly to each customer?

They have a bug report system and feedback system. I don't think it's unprofessional for a dev team not to respond to each individual email from the millions they get.

When you've purchased every edition of their game religiously since it first released, and you throw away money for early access on a game that is fundamentally broken - yes, it's a total lack of professionalism. And I find it a tad frightening that anyone would think otherwise.

The total incompetence of releasing this game prematurely, and having the audacity to charge extra for early access is, in itself, grossly unprofessional.

It's amateur hour, and I find it nothing short of mind boggling that anyone would defend this.

As much as I am disappointed in a lot of their choices, if you honestly think you as an individual deserves a response from the devs cause you buy all the games, are very delusional.

Do they need to address everyone as a whole if there is an overwhelming theme? Hell yes, but one person who complains isn’t special or deserving of an personalized response.

They will in time I pray answer the group cries, but they are never gonna answer one person just cause you bought every version ever. Maybe a lackey will, but not some dev.

Bottom line - charging extra money for early access to a game they knew full well wasn't working is both underhanded and unprofessional.

Bottom line - While quite a few agree with this sentiment, no one has actually debated that at all.

The ONLY thing you've said that people have responded to is the ridiculous claim that you feel you're entitled to a reply you sent to an email address that gets thousands of emails a day.

Simply because you buy the game every year.

Spoiler: You're posting this on a forum where a good portion of people buy the game every year and while many have been upset with aspects over the years, you are the FIRST person I've ever seen declare that you and you alone should get a response to your Karen email.

Strawman. I never claimed that I and I alone should get a reply, and obviously most people here have been buying the game for a number of years.

I do maintain, however, that the entire scam of charging extra for early release knowing full well the game doesn't work is underhanded and unprofessional. And yes, I think they should address these legitimate complaints via customer service in a somewhat reasonable timeframe.

Perhaps I'm in the minority here, but I maintain this entire rollout was unprofessional, as is their shoddy handling of the fallout.

Simply put, they shamelessly bottled it, and they don't care that their target audience was deliberately misled with no path of recourse.
