SDS altered bunting because it was being exploited in DD games and they never seemed to notice or care that it negatively affected Franchise and/or RTTS games. Bunting has been broken in this series for a number of years now.

I totally get that you CAN, but are you SUPPOSED TO? Im using diamond perks on a bronze arch and now in AAA I feel overmatched. Was wondering if you were supposed to use perks that match your arch to follow intended progression or no?

I mean, using bronze perks with bronze archetype do not give any synergies. Use the ones that give you the biggest stat boosts. If you have diamond has diamond. It isn’t going to get any easier to use bronze (lower) perks when you have diamond (higher) perks. So you are supposed to use whatever makes you the best player and gives you the highest stats.

If you are asking which perks that’s a different story. Depending on the position you are in some skills are seen as better than others to make your overall go higher. That doesn’t always mean that is what is gonna make you do better. If you are a shortstop who can’t hit getting speed or fielding will odds are make your overall go better, but you odds are need hitting perks instead.

So whatever you think you are weakest in as a player, get those type of perks and if you can get diamond variants all the better as those will give you the biggest boost to the skill you fee you need help on.

I'd be more fine about that but 26 up 26 down, yeah maybe we should pitch someone else. Lol.

Been an RTTS player since 2006-07.

This is the most GARBAGE experience i've ever had in my baseball gaming career.

I dont give a **** about archetypes or "loadouts" or whatever. Just let me ******* train my guy and gain attributes like I used to. And I don't give a **** about DD either. Absolute zero interest in the mode.

I have been thinking quite a bit about the conundrum for RTTS and such with DD. I feel a great and easy way for this game to love forward is to make each load out need a hitting and pitching archetype so that you can truly feel like the two way player if you want it. After that, make it so that the 50 cap of attributes is the max you can leave and use in DD. For RTTS though each game has a bonus 20+ attributes beyond 50 that is reset for each new save you have. This means you can be close to the ideal of a 99+ players and you still get to level and feel a sense of growth.

Also I thought of adding a cap on archetypes. You are forced to use bronze on each RTTS player for 100 games, then 200 to upgrade to gold, then 300 to get access to the diamond ones you unlocked. This is just for pure game’s don’t need to do anything but play the game. This means by end of season 2 or beginning of season 3 roughly you would get access to the diamond if you had one.

Just been something I thought about, cause you are not wrong a lot of the joy of leveling is gone.

The big thing for me was the fact that they added this stuff at all. I don't know if it was in 20, as I skipped it so I could continue playing 19.

But I'm playing a ****ing baseball game. Why I am i forced to upgrade to silver, gold, green, purple or what ever for anything. Just let me train my player in the weight room or whatever drill I choose. That way I can do my own "archetype" exactly how I want it.

I shouldn't have to do all this dumb stuff to play a baseball career mode. And another annoyance is the fact that you can equip all these accessories to gain ridiculous ratings boosts. In 19, I was fine with a couple points added to vision, or contact, or whatever if I had a certain bat design. Totally fine. Its too much now.

And integrating Diamond Dynasty is god awful. I touched Diamond Dynasty once in the first ever release of it and never touched it again. Its probably the most boring mode I've ever played in a video game. To each his own, but it isn't for me. That's why I played RTTS. The fact that RTTS is tethered to it is trash. The loadout system is trash. Just let us create new players for different builds. You know, that look different? And don't even get me started on forced two way player integration. Yeah, its ultimately optional, but get rid out if except for in the player creation menu, such as when you are switching between batting left, right, switch etc.

I'll probably be going back to 19 at this point. And I won't purchase another title until they fix this garbage

After sim-grinding RTTS the past few days it's clear to me that RTTS is not tethered to DD like people think. It's tethered to ARCHETYPE CARDS, which largely replace attribute progression since all attributes are capped at 50. SDS did a god awful job of explaining this. You don't have to touch DD other than to go into your inventory to apply the archetype and perks you want to use.

The main problem, though, is that once you complete all they archetypes, the replay value of RTTS is nonexistent. You can never again "start over," which is a huge appeal for this mode. Horrible design choice that sold the core fans of the mode down the river.

That’s why my suggestion has a RTTS cap that’s separate from DD. There is the universal cap of 50 to make DD fair if you bring over your you but I really think every brand new RTTS character should get an extra 25 attribute they can grind. This way if you maxed out to 50 every single character still gets to grind out and it kinda makes you feel like the goat with that extra cap bonus.

I don’t know if it’s a perfect idea but it could solve I think a few things.

has anyone been able to change position DURING a RTTS campaign? I'm at CF and want to play some games at 3B - is that even possible?

                          Cheers.

Yes and no. You cannot have any other secondary position than SP or the original fielding position you picked. That said, and odds are you are long past this, but there is a way to get at least one chance to change.

If you decided you didn’t want to be a two way player then June 17th of your first season your agent will take to you and you can say I wanna rethink being a two way player.

If you do that the next series end you will basically get the very same screen you had when you first began and pick between starter relief and closer pitcher as well as your position which can change.

I do not know if any other time or place to do this though and if you were hoping to be way a SS who has had 2B/3B or any other position at all that wasn’t a pitcher then forget about it. You won’t be able to.
