You can start dynamic difficulty at a specific level now. I started on HOF and am going to let dynamic do its work until I feel I'm in a good spot, then zero out the slider

Something from 21 I really like is the hitting difficulty. 20 was far too easy at times, 21 fees just right. Let’s hope they don’t patch it and make it easier

As soon as the DD players complain that they can't hit a home run every time a patch will come out and make the hitting easy again

I’m making strides... I ONLY struck out 16 times in the game I just played. Man it’s so hard to make contact on Hall of Fame.

I’m making strides as well. Started off on all star, dynamic difficulty. First 2 days almost fell all the way to rookie. I’m back up to all star + and I can sniff HOF. The learning curve on my timing was tough.

Okay good, I thought I was losing my mind.

I am striking out a ton, way more then ever before. I play on directional so I’m not entirely in control, so maybe more emphasis has been placed on ratings then years past. I don’t really mind it, I never really struck out before from swinging over/under a pitch, it’s rather refreshing.

While I welcome a sight increase to my strikeouts, it’s a bit over the top. I’d be willing to bet anything that timing gets addressed in an update. As I’ve said in a previous post on here, as soon as it’s complained about by Diamond Dynasty players we’ll see an update. They won’t like the fact that it’s more difficult to time pitches than ever before.

I’m genuinely considering going back to MLB 20 and just continuing my franchise there. The only difference for me in MLB 21 is the fact that David Ross is in the game.

I’m not going to stomach averaging 12-18 strikeouts a game, even if the trend in baseball is more swings and misses.

I'm playing on HOF (simulation) with Cleveland and finding hitting quite easy at the moment. In fact, I had to move the level up because I was striking out due to how slow the pitch speeds were on the lower difficulties.

I had the same problem. Just increase HUM timing (I have mine at 7) and it will be like 20 in no time. I really like the fact that they have sped up the FB. A FB finally feels like a FB coming at you. I dropped to 8 speed and am now thinking of going up to 9 on HOF.

It just takes a few games to get used to with the changed settings.

Do the DD players play on competitive mode vs sim? Wondering if there is a difference. Maybe they don’t see this like we do playing on Sim. Not sure at all but maybe?

The strategy guide in the game itself says that DD has its own difficulty logic that balances teams as much as possible, so sounds much like more of a balanced competitive setup.

I have it at 8 currently and I stuck out 15 times my last game. I will say that a lot of my strikeouts are my fault though. I’m swinging at more pitches out of the zone and probably pressing.

I'm using directional and I hit with fisheye 2 camera. I've used this interface for years as I play pretty close to the way Armor does in regards to gameplay and sliders.
