    Cloud Streaming Thread

Anyone try playing on Game Pass via the Cloud on mobile yet? I haven't had a chance to sync up a controller to my phone, but was able to launch the game and watch the intro at least, and just seeing this on my phone is so damn rad:

Brings back PSP vibes, which is where I first fell in love with The Show 06. Just hoping the input lag isn't too bad, especially since it's wifi only at this point (looking forward to PC Cloud which is hopefully coming any day now so I can play on a wired connection for lower latency).

Tried it last night. There was too much input lag for me to hir on default HoF or Legend, whichever is highest.

Was a bit let down because I was able to play NBA 2k on my phone fine the night before.

Bummer. Did you try lowering the pitch speed sliders at all? Also was pitching too laggy as well?

Also just got this email, so I'll be playing on PC sooner than I thought:

I pitch on classic, so input lag wouldn't impact me there. I didn't lower the sliders any because I didn't feel the delay that was present was worth playing with.

Maybe on the PC application it would run better.

Playing on PC now, with a wired connection and wired controller, the timing is actually quite responsive. My main complaint would be the framerate isn't as smooth as what I'm used to on PS4 Pro, but it's definitely playable. Looks pretty good, although a little blurrier (double click for full resolution):

Taking BP, getting good or even perfect timing quite consistently. I did drop the fastball speed slider down to compensate for the latency.

I noticed the URL says "mlb-the-show-21-xbox-one" so it doesn't appear to be the next gen version, which is unfortunate. Again my main complaint is the framerate, so maybe that would be improved on the X/S verison.

I didn't get an invite for ios or windows yet, but I'm playing on an android device. Really smooth, but for sure some input lag. But, not bad for ripping out moments, hr derby, franchising sim's etc.

Even sim conquest stuff and what not.

The next gen version is not available on the cloud. They never really clarified that before release, but when you go to the library it does show that the next gen version is only available via console GamePass, not cloud or PC, obviously.

It's good to see that on your PC with a hardwire you're getting a playable game. I unfortunately did not receive an invite. I've got my PC hardwired with a 1 gig down fiber connection, so it should be perfectly fine for the cloud once I get a chance to use the app.

                        Re: Cloud Streaming Thread

                        Right on canes and chase.

It's certainly playable. The fps doesn't fluctuate wildly which is good. Almost feels like it's capped at 30 fps, so it's a bit choppy, yet stable if you follow me.. Sort of reminds me of playing 17 on PS4 before I got my Pro and was able to use the "Faster" framerate setting in The Show's video settings to push it to 60 fps (unfortunately there are no video settings on the Xbox One version). I saw on Reddit that some folks on Xbone were having some fps issues so could be the game itself. I don't recall the framerate being a problem when I tested Descenders, so I'll have to try out some other games to compare.

I'm really impressed with the latency and responsiveness. I have a very good ping to the Xbox server (less than 15ms) so that certainly helps. I talked to someone else who deemed it unplayable for them, but their ping was over 100ms, even though they had fiber with plenty of bandwidth, so I'm crossing my fingers that you have a good ping as well, canes.

It's a great feeling finally playing The Show on PC, but I'll probably go back to PS4 Pro for now until they can smooth out the fps a bit. Like I said, definitely playable, and I am admittedly a framerate whore so the PS4 Pro is my wheelhouse for the time being. Definitely excited about the future of this however, as I am a PC guy first and foremost, so I'll keep on testing from time to time to see how things develop.

I tried a game on the original XBox One version and it did feel more choppy than the older PS4 versions.

I just saw that Microsoft announced that their Cloud instances will be updating to use the Series X instead of Xbox One "by the end of June", so that's really good news.
