I just don't have the time or energy to go through every team and make sure all players are there, create them if they aren't, give them ratings and all that.

This really shouldn't be something the consumer has to do themselves. I feel like a roster update should be out by now. I spent $85 on this game and I have to wait probably three weeks for Ridin's rosters so I can start my franchise.

With the Indians, Jake Bauers is listed as an OF and he plays 1B in real life, but if you put him at 1B he is out of position and drops routine throws to first by infielders. I tried to change it but the same thing happens. It's the same with Yu Chang at 1B. I'll give them a break there since it's his first year playing there. I have to call up Bobby Bradley to play 1B, which he should be there anyway, Bauers is a joke.

And the fact that you can't download anything from the vault, wow. That's crazy, and also crazy they haven't fixed it yet. Maybe they have by the time I'm writing this.

The on-field gameplay is the best it's ever been, as well as the presentation. But other than that, and I won't even get into RTTS, the game has been very underwhelming so far.

I guess I just have to wait for now.

I couldn't even find Jake on the default roster (which is understandable) and on the live roster I have, he is a firstbaseman. weird.

When’s the first roster update coming out?

I have a related question. Beginning last year they changed the vault system and I had difficulty figuring it out.

Is there a way in the vault to search for the SCEA roster updates?

The reason I ask is because if and when I get a ps5 I will get mlbts 21 mostly for the stadium creator but that won't be for some time given the problems Sony is having producing ps5 consoles. When I do get it I'd like to start my franchise with the first live SCEA roster update. I don't understand why they change things like the vault which used to be easy to navigate.

I created one for myself by going through the credits and searching for SDS staff members in the default roster. To Houston's point, there's been changes since he compiled his list.

All SDS staff are in AA. Here's the breakdown of all those I found, by team. It is quite possible I missed some. I didn't bother writing down their position, just the name. I also noticed that some players were removed from the current Live roster. Those players are between brackets.

What an incredibly self indulgent group.. They're riding the coattails of the developers that created the masterpiece that this game used to be. The current group has done nothing but implement poorly thought out features, and ignore the community.

a lot of these have been in the Show, and with the Studio, for years and years and years. some have even been with Sony since the 989 days. some even aren't developers, just gamers that the Studio scanned.

And some sports games use rosters with only professional athletes on them. You know the ones they get the license for so that people will buy the game..

It should be a non issue, but they were goofing off scanning their buddy instead of taking the 90 seconds required to test the roster vault.

Its worse than just prospects that have the wrong age. MLB players like Casey Mize and Luis Severino are wrong too. Yankees SP Clarke Schmidt is 2 years younger than he should be. This is a joke

the biggest difference in baseball and other sports might be in that the Show has to fill not just the major leagues
but 3 other levels totalling over 2000 players as well as a couple hundred free agent slots as well.
I don't think you'll see that amount (over 2000) in Madden or NBA2k.
can't really speak to association football as I'm woefully ignorant on subject.
I don't condone the way the Studio does the minor leagues
(see my whole rant on the Single A roster in 20. and 21 is an exact repeat performance)
but it is what is FBOW

at least we can import over anyone we don't want in the Show (looking at you, Bryce Harper).
can players in Madden or 2k be overwritten now?
seriously dunno, 's why I'm asking. I'd love to replay the 81-82 NFL & NBA season

Personally I don’t mind having the developers in game. I’m not a stickler for “full” minors. Top 50-100 is fine to me.

I actually trade for a couple of the more well known developers in my franchise. Hahahahaa

Live rosters..... OOTB rosters are the biggest joke! HOW after a season starts, you release a game with rosters that messed up. The ONLY thing I like about the rosters is the lower ratings.
