There IS strategy in the three hitter rule. You look at the first 3 hitters coming up and have to decide....do I want the lefty because of Harper, or roll the dice? I don’t have a problem with it at all.

I second this. It’s honestly making me think twice about how my bullpen is constructed. My lefties aren’t getting worked as much as usual and I’m considering sending one down to AAA to bring up another righty. Too often I’m faced with L-R-R or some variation and I would rather have a righty who can get lefties out than a lefty who can’t get any righties out.

I don't bunt a lot

Historically I have always been a big fan of the NL game and the strategies around handling pitcher plate appearances as well as late game bunting scenarios. However in the last few years since bunting stopped working in this game, I have adopted a AL approach to my plate appearances and bunting. In other words just don't do it. Sure my NL pitchers do run the risk of hitting into double plays. But to me the risk is worth taking letting them hit when the alternative is usually worse.

Speaking of bunting, I just won a game in the 10th on a missed suicide squeeze by the cpu lol. I threw the ball way off the plate.

I don't bunt a lot but I've only had one bunt to date where the cpu went to second for the force and there were two reasons that play was triggered:

1) my runner at first had lower than 10 speed.
&
2) I didn't deaden the bunt by letting go of triangle at the point of contact & rocketed the bunt right out far enough the third-baseman had plenty time to go to second first.


bunts are still harder off the bat for my taste but as bunting is a lost art & I don't bunt a lot anyways (mostly just pitchers with less than two out & runner on base)

still, it's way past time the Studio added a global Bunt Slider to the other sliders and the online crowd would still be forced to use default sliders & if anyone offline wanted near 100% bunting success they could have that option

Wait.... there’s a way to deaden the bunt??? How did I not know this? I literally can’t sacrifice bunt to save my life. Everything shoots off my bad with an exit velocity to rival most weak grounders

Honestly I don’t even pay attention to the handedness of the match ups. 1) because this isn’t real baseball, and 2) the way the show works you have to play the attribute game.

If I have a set of guys who are right handed coming up, as long as their attribute reflect poorly against left handers I go with the lefty.

The problem with the SHow is that more than half of the players are more competent hitting lefties than righties as reflected in their attributes and hot zones, so it doesn’t make sense to bring in the lefty.

Use manage mode and turn DH off. Get a base stealer or two in the lineup. Plenty of decisions to be made.

Your response still makes no sense when applied to what I said. I said reliever handedness doesn’t matter in the game. If a guy can’t hit lefties throw your lefty out there regardless of what handedness the batter is. Why would this lead anyone to bat a pitcher in place of Mike trout?
