Thanks for the update, Archie. Really wish they would give us video options on Xbox like we had on PS4 Pro. To me, framerate is king and I'll gladly even drop down to 1080p if it's noticeably smoother.

The gameplay is locked at 60fps on series x during gameplay....cutscenes it can vary from 40 to 55fps but that is cutscenes and not gameplay

If you have an issue with that then you have a huge issue with Madden and NBA 2k and fifa as they all have 60fps gameplay and 30fps cutscenes and replays

it is definately a tad smoother on ps5 during the cutscenes but It is still there on ps5....I prefer to play 4k 120hz on series x which means I get input lag of just 5ms compared to ps5 where it does 4k 60hz only and it has input lag of 13.5 ms

Combined with VRR and low input lag....it is easy choice for me

Now all of a sudden, I can't get through a complete RTTS game without it freezing. Sound is there, but screen is frozen.

Never had a single issue before.

Vaults dont work after the download. It wont switch out of the Logo section. Loads for a few seconds and then sends you back to main menu. This patch broke something lol

I don't even think the mechanic is necessary at all. I play zone analog with stride and I never pick contact or power.

I've tried them before and never felt like I hit more homer's or struck out less.

I dunno could just be me but it just seems unnecessary.

There has definitely been a time and place to use each swing in the past. They may not have been completely balanced, but contact swing had noticeably weaker contact in prior games. In this year's release it really does play like contact swing has no power drop-off. I know some of the more popular guys in the competitive crowd have all said to just contact swing only this year because of that.

I haven't power swung too much this year to see if it has any changes, but it was typically only good to use on fastballs around the middle of the plate and it had a slower swing, all of which kept it pretty balanced. It would send balls flying off of the bat, but it had to be the pitch you wanted and needed to usually be a fastball.

With contact swinging this year I'm hitting no doubt shots on balls completely out of the zone when I really shouldn't be.

Not sure if mentioned but it seems to have gotten rid of the comments and scores about a sweep after one game in a series, usually for the losing team. Now I heard different comments when I was actually finishing off a sweep

Did they update player portraits? Can’t believe how many are still cartoons, especially this late in the real season.

It's capped at 60 fps because of vsync, but that doesn't mean it can't dip below that and if people are seeing dips on foul balls then it's not truly "locked" at 60fps.

The same is true with 20 on PS4 Pro. With the "Faster" setting, it's close to 60fps at times, but there's no way it's a steady 60fps, especially on foul balls, but I also see dips in practice swings.

And yes, as a PC gamer, I do have a problem with 30fps, but we're very spoiled on PC, which unfortunately has also made me very sensitive to framerate dips on consoles.

Quick update on the issue I was having with my created stadium where the stands weren’t appearing and fans were floating...

It appears to be only the classic plaza level sections. I swapped those out for classic upper deck and stadium loads fully in tact.

Hopefully they will still get that fixed but figured I’d share in case anyone is using these sections in their stadiums.

It says they improved stadium objects. One they made worse is the hot air balloon with the ropes attached to the bottom. Its all screwed up now.

I was able to pause the update before it started after reading about some stadium issues

I was hoping that they fixed how dark games are in the Metrodome classic stadium but now the stadium is all messed up and glitchy. 🙄
