If someone want to point out a problem....good, but if it's absolutely not true and it gets corrected.....good.

Not sure the forums change as any forum probably has the same guys who just post crap, and it is crap, either to get attention, or that's just them. Don't know, but I think they need attention if their posts are obviously, and I'll use the word "misleading".

The phase "fan boy" is another. I guess Countryboy might be labelled that until you get into his posts and see how many things he's criticized about the game, hell one year he didn't even play it he disliked it so much (he also helps a hell of a lot of newbies to the game), but that said, to criticize someone, but you don't mean to stir the pot, who comments on some of the BS is a bit hypocritical. This should be a "happy place" (know you were being a bit facetious), but we sort of self-police here. Sometimes people just need to be told to knock it off. No?
I agree with you actually and I think I'm being misunderstood about the criticism in general. If you look back at this thread, I quoted JoshC in regards to the complaining/criticism. I thought it has handled very well. Like you said, self-policing. But then BKrich came along afterwards and started going off about the forum being ruined after the complaint had already been handled. At that point it's just needless piling on and doesn't do anything productive.

That's all I was really trying to say.

I also apologize for getting a bit long-winded in the process.

Knight....I have been labeled a “White Knight” many times over here in the past for this game. LOL can’t even count how many times in fact.

Now? Because I choose to sit out MLB 21 and give valid criticism on the game? I am a ***** now in some peoples eyes. I mean .....come on.

The Mob mentality has been ridiculous around here for quite some time. I choose to not embellish and fuel it’s fire.....but it is pretty ridiculous and that is all Jeffy was pointing out. I knew exactly what he was trying to say.

I simply wish to only enhance peoples experience’s with the game with the settings/tips/ideas I use and share. The reason I found OS in the first place was a long time ago I was looking for people who had like minded approaches to the sports games I love (The Show, Madden, NHL and at one time NBA2K which died after the 2K18 version) and what I discovered was a great modding community (Rosters and Sliders) and also guys who were old school sports gamers like me who truly appreciate the new consoles powers (PS3 at that time).

The forum has changed over the years......but head into the slider and roster forums and it is still as vibrant and as informative as it ever was. It is where I typically stay and hang out. The few times I have come to the general forum this cycle....not great...but it is not horrible either. Plenty of people trying to help.

I learned to scroll past vitriol type of posting and move on.

I still see plenty of good constructive conversation that unfortunately either sometimes get’s lost in the fray or string of bad posting.

I think most people who want to get great information on the game need to figure out who plays and approaches it they way they do and follow those members. I know that is what I did a long time ago and it has served me well.

It is a public forum.....you’re going to get all types here. Like going to the grocery store....or Walmart....LOL for lack of a better comparison.

Anyway I think Jeffy is a good dude...you're a good dude. There are a lot of good dudes and sometimes we all need to take a little breath and step back.

After all it is just video games we are talking about here.

Even I can get a little over passionate when I see things I have loved for years....suddenly vanish. It sucks. But it is what it is. And we move on. And that can mean adapting to the new way or vision of a game....or sticking with what we love. We all have choices fortunately.

And there is nothing wrong with disagreements.....I think it is all about how we go about having mature discussions about those dis-agreements and how we treat each other with respect. If someone chooses to not have respect....they are on my ignore list. I simply move on. I don’t get caught up in it at all.

I can’t stand when I see disrespect. There is just no reason for it. I think most of us are a lot older than we all may think. I don’t have time for internet BS to be honest.

And if it gets to be out of control.....then whatever.....I will step off and step out of the room. Not going to let it get to me at all. Never have....never will. Those that have gotten to know me on my streams know exactly what I am all about and that is the coolest thing IMO that has taken hold of the video gaming landscape.

Streaming is a freaking cool tool.

It allows everyone to interact and get to know the person behind the madness LOL!!!! I get so much more pleasure playing the game and actually interacting with people who have just as much passion about it than I do...live while actually playing the game. The conversations are great. The exchanging of ideas are really awesome on streams. I don’t stream for $$, views or any of that....I simply stream to hang out with my video game buddies who play the same game and share that passion for it that I have. And I have gotten to know some really super cool people from OS from streaming.

That is why I don’t get too caught up in any of the BS that can sometimes occur on a message board. And I encourage people to find gamers you have things in common with and follow them if they stream. It is really a great “community” thing IMO.

So much can get lost in translation on a message board. People can totally mis perceive what you are really trying to say. They don’t know through text, your tone, your intent....and this has become a problem in our society as a whole. But that is a whole other conversation.

Anyway....enough rambling. I still think The Show sub forum is the best of what Operation Sports has to offer despite what some may think.

Wow, very well said as always, Armor.

        So many good points.

I feel bad for the counter rants, but I'm glad you got what I was trying to say. I love this place and only want to see it prosper.

        Keep being you, buddy.

After applying patch #6, I have noticed a bug on the rosters in RTTS. All LF spots have become empty! I was called up to the big club and noticed J.D. Martinez is not with the Red Sox. I checked transactions and he was never traded or signed by another club. When I searched for him, he showed up on the Dodgers roster! What??! I'm not sure what happened, but has anyone else noticed these type of anomalies?

Nice that they fixed clipping helmets, but can we get a fix for clipping players?

The two glaring player clipping issues I'm noticing is the 1st baseman's hand & arm clipping through the baserunners body when diving back to base on pick off attempts.

Also, outfielders will clip completely through the ball boys body when going after fly balls.

These are huge eyesores & immersion killers. Please fix this! Time to invest in real time player physics / collision detection going forward.
