    any ideas if pickoffs will be limited in Show 23?

      Given that they'll be limited irl, I'd imagine so. They're already limited online, so they've just to apply that universally.

        ok, I don't play online so I didn't realise that.
        so it should be rather easy to code it for offline & the Studio should have had plenty time to get it in

          Yeah, online you can only pickoff 2 times unless the other player expands his lead. So it'd have to be adjusted, but the basic essence of the rule is there.

          And really, there's not a lot of reason to expand your lead against humans or the CPU. I did a lot of testing early in the year, and taking an extra step doesn't actually give you a better chance to steal the base. In my tests, the success rates were very similar. The game seems to give the runner a worse jump more often with a bigger lead. So it's added risk with no benefit.
