Drag bunting is way over tuned, particularly the ability to consistently lay down a bunt that either gets by the 1B/P to the 2B or simply pulls the 1B off the bag enough that it's an easy hit. Results in online bunt defense having to be everyone on the infield except the SS playing in. And the biggest reason drag bunting is too good is the same reason sacrifice bunting sucks; the ball comes off the bat on a bunt way too hard. If players bunted the ball more softly, it would be much more realistic (and balanced). Irl, a sacrifice is normally fielded by the catcher or the pitcher charging in. But how often do you see that in the show? It's almost always either a corner infielder fielding the ball or the pitcher just off the mound. So it's easy to have a good throw to 2nd.

If you ever what to be depressed go back and look at the wishlist for MLB the show 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 and see how similar they are to this one and how little has actually changed.

Ability to IMPORT players into franchise so we dont have to start over to get a facescanned player in. Also would help rostermakers out alot

Some players havent had scans in yrs and look nothing like they do now

The ability to start a franchise from current day or any past day with the correct stats, standings, and transactions on that date. Life happens, some franchises get halted at times, some people get the games late, others want to start new franchises, etc. It would be nice to have the ability to start a franchise off where the season is in real life.

I know for myself and many others it does take away from the mode to have to play through games that already happened in real life. My franchise was going well, then life happened and my franchise progress was halted. I'm in July in my franchise, but I don't have the drive to play, or even sim, to the playoffs. I want to start a new one off right where we are in real life.

I always loved how MLB 2k and NBA 2k had this feature as does OOTP. It does make a big difference. Even Madden allows for this to happen now. I forget which game it was, I think MLB 2k, but one of them allowed you to follow the real season day by day playing your games while the rest of the games around the league actually would be updated to the real result after it happened. That was a very innovative feature that should be a staple in sports games these days.

Get DD completely out of RTTS and return to a more natural progression system instead of relying on virtual card packs to boost skills.

100% and RTTS has gotten so stale in general. This used to be my favorite career mode among all sports games.

The ability to have your pitcher look at base runners without triggering the different camera view (which most certainly is not a broadcast view)

My wishlist mostly concerns things that impact immersion:
- Actual next-gen graphics
- Improved/more animations for field, sliding and base running. The latter two look particularly aged and monotonous to me.
- Get rid of geese constantly flying through the ballpark
- Looking at NBA 2K:
- Real stadium announcers (super low priority)
- More/better commentary that includes real life milestones / stories
- Storylines in Franchise: I often feel that franchise mode could do with more storytelling elements. What is happening across MLB? Is someone on my opponents teams on a hot streak that I should be aware of? Are my players reaching milestones that are really relevant? These are just some examples. I'd like for there to be more of this. Kind of like the newsfeed in other franchise modes.
- Various points I'd summarize as 'emotions': How often do you see players arguing with umpires and throwing a fit after a bad call leading to them getting ejected? Certain players are much more likely to do this or start a benchclearing brawl (looking at you, Yasiel).
I'd like for the game to have an attribute like 'frustration'. Players with high frustration attributes will argue bad calls and might lose their head when a bad call ends a decisive AB.
Example that happened to me just yesterday: I had Votto batting, RISP, full count, 8th inning in an even game, I take a ball and the blind umpires calls a third strike ending my AB and inning. Votto just calmly leaves the plate. Is that realistic? I don't think so. Hell, managers would be arguing that call too!

Ejections (in the system I just described) should be a switch to be turned on or off, but I believe that players arguing, starting brawls after getting HBP or stuff like that would improve immersion and make Franchise mode a lot livelier.
This could also possibly affect a batter's or pitcher's ability (some thrive, some get worse) but - admittedly - that would be very, very difficult to get right without breaking the game.

The opposite of 'frustration' could be something like 'showmanship' with players like Tatis wildly celebrating after a good player or something like this but I haven't thought this through, tbh. Generally speaking though I'd just like to see more emotions from players after great plays (important hits, great defensive plays, stolen HRs, pitcher getting out of a bad situation).

Not sure how doable it is, but I feel like players are adding more variety to slides these days, with swim moves and such. It’d be cool to have ways to try and avoid a tag when you are dead to rights.

It's pretty clear no matter what people think these developers do not listen to us and do what ever they want whether we like it or not!

Luckily I like what they are doing with the game for the "most part".

But I will also say there are so many things that should be added and changed to this game and year after year they seem to ignore us.

At the end of the day San Diego Studios is no different then any other game Studio and that is not a good thing.

This is why I hardly bother posting my wishlist any more because there is no point.


So here is my new Wishlist!

1.San Diego Studios will finally start reading Operationsports gamers wishlists and add them to the game! lol

Sad things is all my wishes are for features to be back like Y2Y saves and importing previous years rosters. I hate not being able to export a player not in the game without any career stats yes we can edit service time but the game still treats a 15 year old vet as a rookie and going for rookie of the year because of it,.

Season mode with multiple options for number of games. I want to dabble with rosters sometimes, not commit to an entire franchise mode.
