I don’t know why the owners didn’t want to do the payers counter. If they don’t agree to the Draft in November the QO comes back.

      MLB lockout

Nice work PA, hope you’re happy.

No rush to make a deal now.

        Re: MLB lockout

They might as well cancel all of 2022 now.

They only had this urgency cause they can still play 162.

So does this mean the Apple TV deal is dead now? Lol

So basically the season came down to a QO. The players have lost my sympathy. Maybe they can work at McDonald’s.

They aren't happy or they would have accepted one of the offers.

I wouldn't settle if I were them either. All three of the offers came with slights towards the owners.

I do think their counter offer to the owners this evening was incredibly fair.

I am pro-player. I think the owners have operated in poor faith. The players will not get a better deal going forward than the one they turned down today. This now becomes a financial war of attrition which the players cannot win.

I guess they have forgotten the 94-95 strike and how the fans stayed away. I was In Arlington at the time and when they started back up the ballpark was empty. Worked out great for me, I could take the kids and buy the cheapest seats they had and them go sit about anywhere you wanted.

Only if there is no season. If there is a season, the license fee gets prorated.

I dont have a whole lot of sympathy for the PA but I dont think this is on them. As intriguing as some of the stuff in MLBs last offer was from the outside, its pretty ridiculous for them to throw it in last minute before they decide to enforce a deadline they put in place themselves

Personally I keep flip flopping on who to blame after every tweet I read.

                      I’m sick of both.

Jays we’re looking so good this year but I won’t be going to any games this year.

My first Father’s Day and I wanted to spend it at Wrigley. I attend 3-4 games a year so nothing crazy. But I also will not be attending any games this year if/when.

I hope the players and owners love playing in front of 10,000 people. Cause that will be all that is left who remembers baseball.

I wouldn’t be in a hurry to join Apple TV to watch baseball if the sport ever comes back.

I completely get how you feel. But a little bit of advice if I may. If there is a game, go to it my friend. The memories of that day will outweigh the bad feelings towards Baseball right now. I would give anything to be able to go to a game with my Daughter. DO NOT miss opportunities because other people are jack@$$'$

Like I am blaming the owners cause they wouldn’t even respond to the player’s counter cause they didn’t take one of the 3 options.

But also blaming the players cause they couldn’t just live with a QO.

Just a hypothetical question, but what if this lockout cancels the whole 2022 season and runs into 2023 season and we are in the same boat next year? Or if multiple years get canceled?

The best offer we've seen so far was the players last counter offer (which I don't even think was considered because it wasn't one of the three).

It showed that they are open to an international draft and just want time to vet it out and make sure it's done right and beyond that, shows that if they couldn't come to an agreement on it, QO'ers come back which would be their own fault.

That's fair negotiation. We're at a point where both sides just don't want to agree.
