I don't mind an April release date. Rosters are more correct by then for when I start my franchises. That's just me though. And the longer they work on the game till release, the better. Hopefully we'll start getting some info in the next month or so[emoji4]

I mean, really it means more to me that the game is fantastic, even if I have to wait a little longer. Plus I need more time to score a PS5.....

I dunno. For me spring training is over (moot) also almost 3 weeks into the season. Game used to get released in early March.

Called it! (if true) ! April is the new date and it is set in stone now for good. madden did this too releasing the game a week before the season starts it is a marketing ploy and makes sense. and the date got leaked early last year and it was 100% correct. so I will take a stab here and say this is correct.

They were a month behind last year so they would have had to have crunched like crazy to skip a month in Development for this years game to get it out by March. the PS3 and PS4 era was different we still got the PS3 version is March that year and the PS4 version came out in May.. all versions last year including now Xbox were all out the same month in April.

It might backfire though because this Lockout is looking ugly every day and the game this year might be the only baseball we see till at least June.

Biggest issue here is if Y2Y saves are not back I am gonna have the same issue as last year I either just stop playing and wait till April now. or I keep playing and buy 22 very late like I did with 21 this year. if Y2Y saves are back I will just keep playing my franchise now and buy the game day 1 and continue it on.

I read through the article when it first released a few months ago. It’s a well thought out educated guess, but not really anything more than just that.

The writer may very well be right in his timeframe for the release date but I don’t view this with anymore validity than each of us making our predictions.

Ummmm, yea no... We'll have baseball before June.... Im guessing days before ST is to start, they'll rush together and a deal will happen.

MLB '21 released on April 16th last year which would've been during the season had it not been paused due to the pandemic

Release date has been March for what like 10 years now... All of a sudden it changes to April release? Nope dont like that.

Not a fan of the game releasing 3 weeks into the season either. When I first started playing it releases the first or second week of March.

Safe to assume April as the release, guys. It was delayed until April in 2021 and dev teams won't want a shortened window for production. Especially with mutiple consoles in play. Safe to assume an April release for the indefinite future.
