Yeah I don't buy it that they aren't working in the game. I think it would only be a problem if they were to release it and make a profit off of it before an agreement was in place.

Yes of course it will be but it is going to be a lot like MLB 21 with none of any of the CBA rules added or new face scans etc because of it

The rosters will be how they are now too 'incomplete' and not updated. with a lockout. this actually will make some teams look very unbalanced as I have seen with the off season rosters I have made for mlb 21 look at the Braves for example. a lot of missing Holes in that team they don't even have a 1B yet so players like Freeman will be sitting as a free agents. I don;t play online mode but I could imagine it will be messy.

this is all assuming if there was no seaosn.

But like we all say, they neglect these parts of the game anyways. So they'd be happy to get all the time to focus on new innovative ways to collect cards.

And like someone said earlier, i think they still have a deal with the mlbpa even though the mob doesn't. Meaning they can still put in the new scans and have players be in the game but like you said, rosters are gonna be insane. But i doubt we'll even get a lockout preventing games from being played. Both sides already lost soo much money in the pandemic year

Just hope the lockout ends mid feb which was my guess. I won't get nervous until mid feb if we are still locked out. 2020 was depressing enough! I really was depressed that year with no baseball for months so many bad memories. I was more depressed about that then working from home haha. so please for the love of god get a deal done and lets start the season in April. and have some spring training.

They refer to MLB as “The MLB.” Says all I need to know about the accuracy of the article.

You can tell this article has no research behind it. Presumptuous clickbait.

If the game is still cross gen and cross play the console don’t matter. It’s a bit cleaner on PS5/SX (I play on both) but it’s essentially the same game. I’m hoping this year there is a “next gen” version that only works on the PS5 and Xbox series consoles. But alas, I highly doubt it.

I think depending on the development stage for '22. And if the lockout forces a delayed start to the season then; Then I'm hoping Sony releases it March again.

Virtual baseball or lockout MLB news (Hope not).

                    Same man.

And i think bot sides have evidence to show that they permanently lose fans every time they have one of these work stoppages. Heres to hoping, they just both have ridiculous offers up until like end of February then they just decide to lock them selves in a room for 24 hours and present actual reasonable offers

Only if SDS determines they want to delay the release in order to add new CBA things into the game or wait to get as accurate of rosters as possible.

But other than that, the game can release whether there is a lockout or not.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Ive been hearing form baseball people that they would use replacement players/minor leaguers before they had a season stoppage. Interesting scenario as far as the game goes.

LOL That is what I have done in my Fictional Franchise with Bacons Roster. I just pretend that everybody got sick of the Strike and MLB formed a new organization and brought in all new players from around the world of various leagues and said the heck with it. I am 3 years in with '20 and never looking back.

well, since this is a stoppage from management hands, and not one of the players doing, I think we need replacement owners.

maybe if there is a delay in the IRL 2022 season but the Show still drops on schedule as per usual, I'll do a 30 team rebrand and get rid of the owners, but keep the real players, like maybe:

the Baltimore Colt .45's, NY Giants, Boston Minutemen, Toronto Maple Bats, Tampa Devils, Georgia Peaches, Miami Sharks, Washington Baseball Team, Brooklyn Trolleys, Philadelphia Benjamins, and so on and so on.
