Re: MLB The Show 22 Digital Deluxe and MVP Edition Revealed - Early Access 4-1
JRPG (Japan role playing games) people who play those type of games don’t play sports games man it’s not a stereo type it’s a fac
My point is they are catering to a crowd that just isn’t coming die hard baseball fans are the ones that built this company and now are being turned aside for a diff type of fan baseest 1978

My top 5 games of all time include MLB 20, NCAA 14, final fantasy 6, 7, and 9.
Last I checked that was 3 jrpgs plus 2 sports games.
Someone can clearly like both. It's a stereotype that you are laying out there.
I love a good jrpg. Especially the classic ATB system ones. And last I checked I have over 600 hours in MLB 20 and another 500 in MLB 19.
I am also currently replaying for the third time final fantasy 6 plus also currently playing an MLB 20 franchise.
Care to prove me wrong that people can't be fans of 2 different genres of games?
They both provide a different itch. I wouldn't be gaming today if it weren't for old school final fantasy games that got me into gaming in the first place.
And for the record, I am not an anime fan. No issues with it. Just not my kind of television.Funkycorm

Ok, I’ll give you that they are catering to the die hard baseball fans in Japan, but let’s say a new legend is Derek Jeter ( I don’t see it) but let’s just say you’re all telling me it’s not a fail putting him on the cover of the digital edition? Come onComment

Your ignorance is taking this thread in a direction it doesn't need to, and shouldn't, go.
Seriously man..please stop.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Let's face facts to most of us on this forum, or any forum that is about this game, the cover athlete does not really matter. They could just put a ball, bat and glove on the cover and we would buy it. They don't need to market to us. We don't base our purchasing decision on the cover.Comment

For the record I am not buying 22. I was just coming to see who was on the cover of the collector's edition. My issue was with you saying people couldn't be fans of both. I was stating that people could be. You say I missed your point but you missed my point that people can have my multiple gaming interests especially in the jrpg aspect. I simply came here to prove you were wrong.Funkycorm

Re: MLB The Show 22 Digital Deluxe and MVP Edition Revealed - Early Access 4-1
So, there are other guys around who can hit 40 plus HR's, drive in 100 RBIs and also start 23 games as a pitcher with a 3.18 ERA?
I am not even a huge fan, as I am a NL guy but even I can see that he is not overrated.Comment

What fan base is the "right" one?

The right fan base is the one that bought the game before diamond dynasty was even a thing but those people have been left out in the coldComment
