You're right, I hope this means you are able to forfeit the DH if you want. Especially since DH is universal this year.Comment

Re: Ramone Russell confirms "You will be able to use Shohei Ohtani the exact same way
Just confusing to me.
Is this franchise related? Because last year they added the 2 way player icon to Ohtani and actually made it obtainable if other players reached a threshold of innings of playing "out of position".
Yet the way the 2 way players were used was still not done right. Ohtani was still getting rocked every start because his stamina was never close to 100% before a start.
So was that "feature" addition a load of crap last year? NOW it will work?
I guess we just have to wait and see here how this is done. the energy bar thing was annoying as hell he shouldn't even lose energy being a DH, and trying a 6 man rotation (which the angles use) was a pain in the *** you had to send down a player move them back up set the rotations manually each week etc.
they really need the option for 6 man rotations that would solve a lot of the Ohtani issues.Comment

So something else I just noticed (I don't play with the Angels too often as I'm not an Angels fan) but I just played a game at an NL park and when one of my corner outfielders made the last out of an inning, I tried to swap Ohtani out from the pitchers spot to one of their spots since he was due up the next inning (kind of like how the Angels did that last season) and it would not let me know. Maybe this will be an option as well.Comment
