For those that have used it, what are your thoughts on the PCI anchor?

Not really sure how much I will use it. I think it might be helpful online against guys that kind of cheese you with fastballs up and in, but I dont play much online

Vs the CPU, maybe I'll use it with two strikes to protect against sliders down and away. Whenever I try to narrow down my sights to one zone in hitters counts I seem to get over-aggressive and end up chasing that direction so idk if I will use it then

The only other positive I found was maybe anchoring low with power hitters so that it's easier to hit the upper part of the sweet spots to get some launch angle.

Its definitely a cool feature I just dont know how much I will use it

To this point, are the Indians uniforms now going to be classic uniforms where you can still select them or do you think they will just be removed completely?

I know it's days later, but I think they might just be gone. "Indians" is photoshopped off the jerseys of the Guardians players on their Live Series cards.

Shouldn’t go in this thread but before this question gets lost when the game comes out.

I’m still somewhat of a new player. 2 questions.

Stealing bases. I have a man on first, I press left stick towards first plus R2 but he doesn’t go or goes randomly?? Do I only press those combo of buttons once ? Do I have to keep pressing them ? Or hold them down ? Or is there a window of when I have to press them ?? I can’t figure it out, don’t know why….

Second question. Say I have a man on second.I hit a shot out into left/center, I ONLY want the runner on second to turn around third and hold up the man in first. I don’t want to press L1 and advance all, I only want the the man going to third to round and go home……how do I do this ??

Stealing bases: You press the left stick towards first and press L2 to que up the steal. He will advance of pitcher's movement towards home. If pitcher throws over, there's a chance he'll be picked off

So much for wanting to use the 1994 Home/Away/Alternate for Cleveland or the "Major League" 1989 set. Hopefully they aren't removed. They can simply replace the previous name with "Cleveland" on the 1994 Home White/1994 Navy Alternate/1989 Home.

Default base running

Point the R stick to the runner going from 2nd (you see him light up in the baserunning hud in the top corner) and then press X to send him home.

I often play it lazy and just hold L1 and let it go when the runner is passed 3rd base and usually the batter doesn’t go for second. And otherwise quickly highlight him and press ⭕️ so he goes back to first.

Anything uniform related is usually left up to what MLB allows as part of the licensing when it comes to branding

Ok. So you just press it once and leave it, not hold the buttons or keep pressing it….that’s what I was doing wrong. Just Lstick towards first and L2 and just leave it.

Yes just the point towards first, hold L-stick and press L2 simultaneously. Then you can let go.

It looks like Chandler bats were added this year. I was playing with the flashback Lindor card in DD and noticed he was using an AJ99.

Hold L2 after selecting a pitch to check the runner. (It takes a second before the camera actually switches so you can see the runner)

To pick off just tap the base button while you are holding L2.

I believe if you hold the base longer it is supposed to be a "deceptive" move, where as just tapping it is a "regular" move

You can also double-tap the base icon for a "quick" pick-off move.

At work,m but just played a quick 5 min of the switch version, overall look is pretty decent, little rough around the edges, pitching felt really good. I can definitely feels it running at 30fps which is a bummer was praying for 60fps. THe tegra1 chip can run games at 60fps not sure why its so hard. I will not hold my breath thinking they can get it to 60fps.

Could be the game engine they’re using. Just look at the next gen console versions still look like the same game as the current gen.
