I wish they would have kept both, the old and the new commentary team, do a NBA2K thing so commentary stays fresh for a longer period of time.
Games I'm playing FOREVER: NFL2K5, That is all.

wow, that's a huge surprise IMO
probably right up there with last year's announcement of create-a-stadium

still, I'll just play be playing with the commentary turned off except for Sunday games. listening to the booth 26-30 games a season is just the right amount to keep repetitive lines at a minimum. and I won't miss Plesac one bit. I'll still have Vasgersian around as I'm not ready to permanently retire myself from playing Show 14-20

Sorry if I missed this earlier in the thread, but were Sciambi and Singleton really supposed to be in last year's release? Not sure what to believe lol.

From the article: Originally Sciambi and Singleton were slated to debut in last year’s game. Production expected to need at least two years to replace all of the existing play-by-play and color commentary for “MLB: The Show.”

Chicago baseball fans will be greeted by familiar voices when they play the 2022 release of the video game “MLB: The Show.” Cubs TV broadcaster Jon “Boog” Sciambi and former…

Almost, Matty. Almost went deep; certainly just missed it. With this guy’s big power, he’ll be looking to… whatever it is. I tune out after the word almost when I realise my previous AB was caught in the shallow outfield

The worst for me is when derosa says “that’s the new game, the north south game. When we were coming up, everyone was working that Greg Maddox east to west”.

Not hearing that might be worth $60 alone lol.

All seriousness, great move by SDS. I think the offline franchise crowd will appreciate this more but it’s a good feature especially if franchise mode got limited or no updates.

Could take or leave Heidi…nothing to do with her of course, the dugout reporter is a welcome feature as you say but her 2 mins or so (max!) of total dialogue means she’s practically saying the same thing every game. Thankfully they didn’t stop us from skipping her in 21 like they did in 20.

I have the same opinion of Heidi. My only complaint is that she needs to have a lot more variety in what says in the game. They need to greatly expand her dialogue choices. When playing Franchise it seems she says only has naybe 3 or 4 different scripts.

about time, but this promo/trailer for the new commentary team is horrible and a bit confusing. It might confuse people who aren't familiar with the new commentary team.
I for one had to analyze which voices were the actual commentators.

Flat out wouldn't mind if she's gone. At the very least hope they deleted those two words from the database.

Very exciting stuff, this is a welcome addition the old team had become stale. I really do not need Heidi either. I never listen to what she said.

Every time my RttS player flies out (or sometimes pops out), as soon as I hear Matt say "he flew out his last at-bat", I will instantly press pause and start the replay and then return back to the game just so I don't hear that line from Mark for the 1 millionth time.

The commentary also has been too predictable for too many years now. I can’t recall Matty’s line exactly at the moment but I you get a deep fly into the corner you immediately know it’s a foul ball because he always has the same line in the same situation. So the scene plays out suspenseful but the line gives the outcome away.

I don’t think I’m explaining it very well but maybe you know what I’m trying to say.

That’s most likely the case. I read that they started recording their lines in 2019.
