Everything mentioned in this thread thus far, are for Franchise mode.

Sorry I should have clarified...I made that comment as I was watching the stream when they are talking about the March to October improvements...where they proceeded to offseason after getting eliminated in playoffs...so the improvements to w/ free agency screen (priority/targets), team/positional needs, etc

As someone that hasn’t bought the game the last year or two, do AI teams still use all 5 starting pitchers in the postseason or do they go to a 4 man rotation now?

There are 4-man rotations and "workhorse" types who will have stamina more quickly for postseason.

Extremely excited about these franchise changes. It looks like this mode is in good hands with TABarnes and hopefully it'll just get better moving forward.

Maybe that 6 man rotation I seen in franchise was just in spring training off season depth chart as it seems M2O still has the 5 man rotation? or is 6 man rotations only in franchise?

Wondering how it can be done with the Angels with Ohtani

during the MTO part of the stream..they talked about the team needs/positional needs screen that we all know.

I feel there is an opportunity to merge these two screens together...e.g. when I select SP as a positional need..there should be a extra pop-out that let's me select power pitcher, finesse pitcher, etc. for non-pitchers, if I select LF, then options for power hitter, contact hitter, speed, etc. Instead it's a separate screen and limits you to 2 selections...even though you've selected up to 3 positional needs.

Wouldn't be so bad if they did I guess the only issue here is if they lock it and you can't edit anyone or export them.

I am sure though that they still have the rule of Vets that didn't play the the majors last year can't be in the game though so we will have to create them. but this cuts down on a lot of work if it is only that to worry about

Definitely, plus the fact that they balanced the roster and redid the potentials. This might be ootb ready. Maybe not ootb, but after the first big roster update like you said that adds those vets

They did pretty much nothing. EA NHL completely overhauled their franchise mode in a year with probably a smaller team. Like someone in steam said these are patch notes.

Im not sure many franchise fans wanted or needed a "complete overhaul", whatever that is.

So in summary, a bunch of logic changes to the things around the periphery, but nothin about the actual roster/bullpen logic or god awful progression/regression system. No actual new features that I can see, other than some fairly Ohtani specific two way player stuff?

Also, imagine actually putting a bullet point telling people prospects will now have the correct age. Lol

This would be an incorrect summation of things in total, but some of what you have here is correct.

So does that mean guys like Eric Thames, Anibal Sanchez, etc who didnt play last year… Will be there day one?

If true, I cant imagine they would have face scans tho.

The implication seemed to be no more "fake" players anywhere. So if Sanchez or Thames aren't in the MLBPA or minors pool for some reason, I assume they won't be in the game.

Only things I really wanted were real minor league players, fixes to awful bullpen and lineup logic, fixes to playoff logic, 2 way players not getting tired and staying tired, fixes to game times (everything was a day game last year for certain teams) and a bit more immersion in terms of storylines (probably not a realistic request). Seems they hit a few so can't really complain.
