This is what I do. Unfortunately the quick manage engine isn't great. You'll see a lot of guys stranded at 3rd and random sac bunts by your middle of the order guys, but it's nice to be able to control your bullpen and subs

I'm thinking of playing the last game of every series and then all of the playoff games. I feel like I could at least get through a few seasons doing that.

I'm pretty familiar with the quick manage and I do agree sometimes funny things happen that make you say what the actual f**k

For real I can not tell you how many times I see a guy at third 1 out a ground ball is hit and he don't move. Or how many times you have a guy at first and third 0 outs and they turn two and he stays at 3rd.

One thing I like to do with Quick Manage is to play out those key moments. Like for example, if I get a couple ducks on the pond I enter the game and play the at bats of my middle of the order guys. Or if I get someone to 3rd with less than two outs I jump in for a couple at bats.

If my pitcher loads the bases with no outs, I jump in and pitch.

It allows me to take out some of the weirdness and also move more quickly through the games I don't play. I find it to be a more viable way to play than the critical situations engine.

I play all 162. I'm a proponent of Quick Counts, but am considering going back to full at-bats for a slightly different experience.

For anyone playing their franchise using quick counts do you find SP doesn't go as deep into games compared to when using regular counts due to low stamina.

I think that will depend on how patient you are at the plate. I played every pitch from 06 to 13 or so and my goal was to try and work the pitcher for 15-20 pitches per inning.
When I switched to QC I really didn’t notice much difference. I do however like the shorter game times.

There's no difference as best I can tell. I have thrown complete games, and have had them thrown against me.

Is this with human/cpu stamina sliders at default?

Yes. I play default sliders across the board.

I have noticed no difference in how far the starter goes. If I had I would have stopped using it long time ago. I just like the 15 minutes it shaves off each game time. Hard enough trying to get 5 to 7 seasons in playing almost ALL the games I need to shave a little time here and there.

I increased Hum and CPU starter stamina up to 6. I believe I see a difference in going later into games, although it’s possible it’s a placebo effect.

I still struggle to get into the 8th, which I suppose is pretty realistic. Most starters get tired and lose effectiveness somewhere in the 6th and sometimes 5th or 7th innings. I also pitch around guys and nibble so my pitch counts get up quick.

Really wish using quick counts didnt make you miss some of the presentation elements. Strictly the stats that don't pop up that do when not using quick counts. Hopefully, they fix that at some point. One thing I noticed in trial is using quick counts doesnt subtract 1 pitch each at bat from your total pitch count anymore. If that makes sense? In the past it always subtracted 1 pitch each at bat.

The way I play is 30 team control. Play as many games in a day in quick manage but will jump in when ever there is a runner in scoring position for both teams offensively. Unless a team gets up by 5 than only jump in for trailing team. If there is a save opportunity I will than pitch. I like it as I get familiar with the whole league.
