Question about Sliders, specifically how they apply to RTTS.
Most of the Slider settings I see are meant to apply to Franchise it seems, where a user will be controlling the entire team...but my question pertains to RTTS specifically.
I have 1 major issue (and multiple minor issues) with the way the AI works in RTTS that is really hurting my team's performance overall...
The major issue is that the pitching management is just...so bad. So many games we will be up 5 runs going into the 6th or 7th and just wind up losing 9-5. Doing some digging, I discovered that there are a ton of times that my starters are being left in the game WAY too long, or relievers are being hung out to dry over multiple innings, or my WORST reliever is being put in in a close game with bad matchups.
Is there anything I can do to try and remedy this?
The minor issues are smaller things...such as trades, but I don't think there's any fixing the trade logic, only the frequency...
Is there a way to nerf CPU fielders a bit? I feel like double plays happen with an unrealistic amount of frequency, and there's like 78 OVR 3rd basemen making insane throws to first, preventing anyone that isn't 90+ speed from getting infield hits.
Also, I have been unable to find solid answers on this - are my CPU teammates affected by CPU sliders? Do the sliders even work when I'm not "observing" the game? I.e. I'm not on base or batting. Do they work when I AM observing? Whether I am watching from the dugout, batting or directly fielding.
I play on the Guardians and I know they aren't superstars or anything, but there's no reason we should be in last place for 4 years straight. Shane Bieber is a 96 overall on my 4th full season and his ERA is like 4.8. Some of my other starters are well over 5 ERA and they're rated anywhere from 78-86 OVR...the relievers are average to decent as well, with Emmanuel Clase at a 93 OVR and he's blown like 9 saves so far this season.
