Re: MLB The Show '22 Little Things (Positive Little Things Only)
Never had this happen before but was playing a game against Milwaukee and there was a bloop flyball hit just passed the infield, Wong was running out to get it and got a glove on it but the ball bounced out of his glove and Cain came in from CF and swiped the ball before it hit the ground resulting in a catch and the final out of the inning

Franchise game Phillies at Marlins that went 14 innings. The fan cam gave the perspective from along the 1st base foul line in the middle innings. The fan cam came back in extra innings and the guy that was sitting behind me had left the game already. I guess he had to get up early for work the next day."Ma'am I don't make the rules up. Raining, players wiping bat under armpits to dry it off between pitches, beads of water on helmets.

Re: MLB The Show '22 Little Things (Positive Little Things Only)
So here's a few little things that I've noticed.
* I'm hardly seeing any balls bouncing over the wall for an automatic double which is awesome. Most of the hits I've seen have bounced on the warning track and then up against the wall instead of over it.
*I have a really good home theatre system but I brought out my headset today for the first time since we moved, and holy crap....this is how I'm playing from now on. All the sounds are just incredible!
*There are alot more pitcher celebrations after strikeouts which I love. I don't see many weird spinning around pump fist animations like there were last year.

A little thing I HAVEN'T seen this year (which is a great thing) is that animation where the relief pitcher comes in and drops his glove. Anyone see it yet or did they finally remove it?MLB: Pittsburgh Pirates, Colorado Rockies
NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers
NHL: Pittsburgh Penguins
NBA: Denver Nuggets, Orlando Magic
NCAA: Penn State Nittany Lions, Boston College EaglesComment

Played a game in my O's chise vs the Brewers last night.
Kolton Wong was batting in the first.
Ticker: Kolton Wong hits for the Cycle vs the Cubs
(obviously, the Ticker was for the day before)
Certainly coincidental timing - but dang that context was fun.Play the games you love, not the games you want to love.Comment

People might wonder why I give up the throwing meter in favor of buttons throwing and inaccurate throws actually affecting gameplay....this is why. This is CPU vs. CPU so I'm not really playing, but it's the same as having buttons throwing.
I thought it was a missed call at first glance (which would be a problem because I have umpire missed calls turned off), even through the inning end replays. But when I got into the manual replay, I saw it - the glove hand clipped through Garcia's outstretched hand. He's definitely out. And that kind of play doesn't have a chance to happen unless the throw is inaccurate - he's likely still out on a perfect or even good throw, but it's just the same old catch and tag we've all seen so many times. I've seen and done this kind of slide many times, but never had an off-target throw interact with it like that. Just beautiful.
Park is the "Party" preset stadium, btw - was just trying to scope out some of the presets. Ground rule doubles are crazy in this park...lol!Last edited by bcruise; 04-26-2022, 08:51 PM.Comment

Re: MLB The Show '22 Little Things (Positive Little Things Only)
In July the news ticker stated how the A's have 7 of the Top 100 prospects in the Show's updated rankingsI can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(
