Id go the Twins! You would be able to compete in the Central soon, just got a big fish in Correa and its a fun stadium.

Royals!! Hometown team, but just as important, Bobby Baseball (Bobby Witt Jr.) is going to be a star. Good prospects, Zack Greinke, and should be a fairly easy rebuild.

Running with the Phillies as I do every year. Looking forward to hitting a ton of homers.

Guardians for sure. Attempted to break their streak and before they changed their name. Made it to the World Series and quickly got sent to the off season. It will be the only time I’ve played a franchise season with the same team in back to back seasons in 16 years of this game lol. Not sure if I’m going to roll with 21 or 20. Knowing me I’ll cave in and buy 22 in a week or so.

Can't believe I didn't think of The Rockies as I really don't think they're that bad, just not good enough for their NL West. Put them in the Central we might have a different opinion. The Angels are a must if Ohtani is fixed, but as an A's fan it hurts.....

Rockies -- Kris Bryant signing was definitely interesting and they have some interesting pieces, like McMahon, Joe, and Marquez. Also have some promising prospects with Veen and Tovar who could really turn the franchise around and form a pretty solid core going forward with McMahon and KB. And awesome stadium and awesome unis.

Mariners -- Already a solid team with something to prove and some elite talent coming through the farm system in J-Rod, Kirby, and Marte. Pretty underrated bullpen that's solid from top to bottom, especially with Giles coming back this year.

Angels -- Probably the best duo in the game with Trout/Ohtani, plus the youngsters like Adell, Marsh, and Detmers. And probably willing to spend some money with Upton's huge salary coming off the books after the season. Another team that's probably only one piece away from competing.

Guardians -- the rebrand is an interesting piece, plus they were the youngest roster in the bigs last year, but already have elite players like J-Ram and Bieber. With the best collection of infield prospects in baseball, could be a super interesting team going forward, deciding which ones to keep or how to shuffle them around the field.

I'd love to use Cleveland. My issue is sometimes I ruin it for myself trying to keep it super realistic and the Ind....erm, Guardians do not spend a dime. Id probably have to trade all my stars away and I try to play a game from every series so I get burnt out by the end of year 2 and my new prospects don't get a shot to develop.

I can never play with a team other than my own. I always get bored quick and quit (probably because I have no connection to players) so as per usual I will be using the Padres.

I do two in a way

30 Team franchise control using the Mets, Try and play 60 games each season and the rest I quick manage. Usually get 6 to 8 seasons done

I then do a MTO with an AL team. Anyone I can punish the Yankees with. This year maybe the Blue Jays

I make sure to use settings that make the game as challenge as I cannot play any sports game if I am going to win it all year after year. No fun in that. I will be posting all my stuff in the franchise thread to follow once I begin in next two weeks. I keep detailed info so people can follow if they like.

Decided last year I would be using the Mariners for 2022. Sticking with that decision for sure. Love the stadium. Great young talent. And some new signings and trades has this team actually able to contend for a wildcard spot this season. If starting pitching holds up a division title could be contended for. Can't wait to get started!

I always do one with my favorite team, Cleveland. But my excitement for this year is lower than it’s been in a long time. I like to keep my franchise very close to real life. The unwillingness of ownership to sign or trade for one or two outfield bats to go along with that pitching staff and JRam and Franmil just feels like a waste. And with the other teams in the division getting better as well, the Guardians have a tough season ahead of them. But I’ll do a franchise with them anyway lol.

I’ll eventually do another franchise as well and at the moment, the few teams I’m eyeing for that are the Angels (trout and obtain plus jo adell would be fun), the O’s (young up and coming team in a fun stacked division), or the D’backs (rebuild and enjoy playing in the stadium).

Regardless, can’t wait to play early access tonight!

Going with the Rockies. They are the only team in baseball to never win a division or world series. And they present one of the greatest challenges in the game. Fangraphs has their roster last in WAR and they have a bottom 5 farm system.
