I think things are looking up for them though. I think they have a pretty decent core and Bridich is finally gone and Schmidt seems ready to make moves by locking up McMahon, Diaz, and Senzatela long term. He even tried to clean up Bridich's mess by trying to reconcile with Story and Gray. Veen and Tovar are both absolute studs and should join the solid core in the next year. I think what they do with Marquez this year will be a big tell. They can keep him at the top of rotation or sell high at the deadline and try to rebuild some of the farm.

I think they might be franchise team too if you couldn't tell hahah

Well its only April 1st.....Already trying to decide if I want to stick with my Twins franchise when I get home. Got 3 games in last night before bed, but already thinking a Cubs or Angels franchise could be fun. I swear I do this every year.....

PS: I also noticed last night there were not a lot of prospects with the arrows to their names showing them as 'hot prospects' This game is so good though. I love the new commentary team as the emotion of the game is felt more so and they are not constantly talking through at bats. I can hear more of the stadium ambience.

I'm the same. I start and restart franchise a few times in April before I finally get one that sticks.

The World Champion Atlanta Braves. They are my favorite team and I look forward to defending the crown.

I'm a Braves fan. So, coming off a World Series, easy choice. I'll be using them.

Sadly my favorite team is the Pirates and seems like they are ranked last, as probably deserved. I am fairly new to MLB the Show, just curious does anyone ever play with these low teams and still be enjoyable? Is it possible to remotely compete? Just can't imagine I would enjoy trying to complete a 162 game schedule with no hope of being competitive....not necessarily looking to be in the World Series but at least feeling that I might have some chance to influence things to make it at least fun

Im actually the opposite, it’s only fun for me to play with poor teams, when I have a bunch of superstars I feel like I’m cheating lol. But I’m weird

Perfect scenario for a rebuild or a fantasy draft

Brewers of course. Phenomenal pitching with average at best offense. Try to build up the bats trying to get the pitching a ring.

I always use my STL Cardinals. This year is sure to be a fun one with the return of Pujols and Waino and Yadi final years.

Usually Reds for my NL franchise, but I think Phillies this year. I use my Yankees for my AL franchise. I like teams with power, but will be challenged to make the playoffs. I think the Phillies should fit the bill. I assume my Yankees will have a tougher time than previous years to make the playoffs, but am counting on Judge and Stanton to hit plenty of bombs and take me to the playoffs

I always run with my Cubbies. This year might be a challenge but I'll definitely start the season with the roster as is and build out via trades or what not from there.

As a Rockies fan it was super disappointing last two years to see Nolan and Trevor traded and let go. Looking at my Rockies roster ratings it’s a pretty pathetic starting point even though the underlying skills might differ slightly from the OVR. What I was actually considering doing was starting the franchise, trying to figure out two reasonable trades that the CPU will accept to bring a better starter and relief pitcher into the bullpen from somewhere… And then basically redoing the franchise with forced trades on, executing those two trades, and then trading Bryant for Nolan with some compensation, and then doing a big trade giving away whatever realistically makes sense to bring Trevor back to the team from Boston. Then the original franchise I would probably keep active just to see what trades the CPU said were realistic for it if I wanted to do some additional trades down the line… But actually play the Rockies with that forced trade roster, just basically to have some fun. Obviously it’s a little bit cheating but I think it would be fun to see what I can do with it to see if I can actually bring home a World Series.

Alternatively I would just play a regular franchise with the Toronto Blue Jays. With regular trade restrictions.

Those are always my two teams, I’ve loved the Rockies since they were formed, and I’m Canadian so I have to support the Blue Jays lol.
