It has not been released yet. He is essentially playing an updated tech test, this is not the finished game. They also don't have nike Ua catching gear or updated cleats. Doesn't mean they aren't going to be in the game at midnight when they actually give you what they intend for you to play

Its the disc printed by SDS, packaged by SDS, and the same disc that will be out on store shelves at midnight tonight.

So if there are no updates tonight/tomorrow or Tuesday when the standard edition launches, then everyone is playing an updated tech test/unfinished game and not the game that SDS intended for us to play??

Umm, it’s the actual game. The servers just aren’t online yet. It isn’t going to be like a magic wand at midnight making it an entirely different game. LOL

It’s the players union, new managers don’t make the game the first year look at boon Cora and dusty baker. It’s not surprising at all this is every year

They need to give us create a manager mode to at least try to look like him

Very true I have learned to temper my expectations some. I dont expect first roster update to come out until the game is released for everyone no matter the version they bought. Then a few weeks later to have all the Japan guys in

That is usually how it is,

I didn't get early access last year so I don't know if there was a update then. and honestly can't even remember if their was a roster update then, but missing players won't even be added till mid to late April. IF there is a roster update tonight it will just be transactions from Dec to about mid March.

I’m honestly not expecting a roster update until the 5th at the earliest. I think a lot of the equipment will show up when the servers come online because it’s tied to DD, at least from what I read. But it could be a bit on rosters. Hopefully I’m wrong, but I’m not getting my hopes up.

How is it an ‘updated tech test’, or ‘unfinished’? It’s the base/out of the box version of the game. Sure, there’s surely bugs and glitches that will need to be patched just like every game, but all the features are there, they just haven’t flipped on the servers yet.

The equipment may show up then, along with a roster update, and just maybe a bug fixing patch, but there won’t be any notable differences between the game now and at midnight.

They confirmed in the video today that first live roster update will be about two weeks after launch so my franchise will wait until then and we will see about Buck. Though i can not recall a time a manager was patched in

pretty sure managers were included in a roster update a few years ago. Pretty sure Rocco Baldelli wasn't in the game at launch, but was added through a roster update.

yeah well I won't be sitting around a few weeks waiting for that Ill be starting in 4 hours time with creating my own rosters. remember it is worse this year because of the lockout that is why 3 months worth of transactions won't be in. the default roster will be a utter mess.

If this is the case they need to change it so that the manager updates also in a started franchise just like a updated beard shave would happen for a yankees player. it is ridiculous to have to wait around for a franchise to start because of this

I stopped waiting on rosters a long time ago…… u will always end up missing something and 162 game schedule needs started asap if I’m gonna finish lol
