What is the best way to handle training in Franchise Mode?

Also do you think the area to focus on differs between the Majors and Minors?

Simply place the specific training in the areas you want your player to improve. I don't think training gives your player a huge boost, but it does give a boost in those areas, especially if said player is young and has an A or B potential.

I don't believe the majors or minors makes any difference.

What's the maximum number of roster files we can have saved this year? More than the 9 or 10 we had last year?

Looks like it's 7. It looks like you have to upload them to the Cloud since there is no USB support for PS5. I see people using the vault for backup. I'd like to know if the Cloud keeps your last 7 roster saves.

That's really disappointing. Quite the downgrade from MLB 20 (where we had 30 slots for roster saves) to MLB 21 (with 9 slots) to MLB 22 (freakin' 7).

So this is more a roster question, but there is no general "Roster questions" thread in the roster forum so I thought I'd just ask here. I know this has been asked before and there were varying responses, but has there been any tips or conversions from OOTP ratings to The Show? There are a few minor leaguers i want to make who aren't in any roster sets for my franchise but trying to find a good way to correlate these.

With the shift being so prevalent in baseball I was wondering if more players are automatically being shifted? I haven’t played the game in a few years so dunno if there’s been any improvement, but in the past only obvious power hitting lefties would get shifted. Maybe the shift gets banned next year, but for now it’s a HUGE part of the way the game is played irl and I would hope The Show would try and keep up with current defensive positioning

Also. What’s going on with not having the new playoff format in the game? I know it was agreed upon late, but my word. We can’t get a patch or nothing? They obviously have the resources to put it in the game but won’t. Things have got to change for us franchise players.

wonder if someone could help me? I have two problems first I started getting the failed operation error after trying to
autosave my games!! I dont know what caused it but it will not autosave and I think trying manually to save it will corrupt the franchise files has anyone ran into this? and how did gou fix it!! second im not
getting injuries of any kind in game or simulation at all!! sliders are up and injuries are turned on!! dont know what happened has this happened to anyone as well?

I just found a PS5 a couple of days ago, so I was thinking of upgrading from 21. As someone who exclusively plays franchise mode, is it a big leap to go from the PS4 version of 21 to the PS5 for 22? Obviously, graphics will be better, but I had a hard time finding out any other features that might be improved upon in next gen.

I just found a PS5 a couple of days ago, so I was thinking of upgrading from 21. As someone who exclusively plays franchise mode, is it a big leap to go from the PS4 version of 21 to the PS5 for 22? Obviously, graphics will be better, but I had a hard time finding out any other features that might be improved upon in next gen.

Not really. The biggest draw would be the ability to create a stadium or play in a create a stadium (some great ones out there), but other than that, the PS4 version of '22 and the PS5 version are identical in regards to franchise mode.

Gameplay will be smoother and the graphics will be slightly better, but its not leaps and bounds better.

I'm currently playing the PS4 version of '22 on the PS5 because I've been missing SotS, and wanted to play using them again.

You'll get a variety of answers on this one from this group. But my answer is that its not a BIG leap, but it IS a leap and I could NEVER go back to the PS4 version ever after getting in to this game on the PS5. It's a great game.
