Re: MLB the Show22 Switch talk
Got a couple games in.
Framerate during gameplay is fine. I used to own a Switch a couple years ago and NBA 2k was borderline unplayable if you used the shot meter. So a game like baseball where split second reactions are required I was concerned. I had no issues at all during gameplay.
Cutscenes are another matter but they are only cutscenes so I'm ok with the frame dips.
Like others have said the jaggies are for real. Yikers.
Just the facts but in all honesty I couldn't care less. The switch isn't the prettiest place to play the Show but it's exactly what I need it to be. An on the go handheld fully featured mlb the show that maintains the series stellar gameplay.2016 NLL Champion Saskatchewan Rush

Re: MLB the Show22 Switch talk
Just got the Switch version to continue my PS5 Franchise when on the go. Sucessfully linked accounts, uploaded franchise file from PS5 to cloud. Hopped on Switch and it sees it when I select to start a franchise but then just says "ERROR failed to download/apply data".
So....any ideas? How do I get my saved franchise onto my switch version? Thanks.
Edit: I created a dummy franchise on the Switch and uploaded it to the cloud. It worked. I downloaded it back to the Switch and it loaded so it's not a connection issue.
Also....there is only room for "one" franchise save in the cloud? That's hard to believe.Last edited by icicle22; 05-13-2022, 02:14 PM.Comment

Re: MLB the Show22 Switch talk
I got it to work. I don't know if it made any difference but I created a new franchise on the Switch, pushed it to the cloud. Opened it on PS5 and it worked. Simmed a few games. Saved. Uploaded to cloud. Downloaded onto switch and it worked. Then I tried again pushing my actual franchise up. And....it worked this time.
Question though? All my sliders and stuff came over in the franchise but the gameplay settings are at defaulr again...the views, the pitching mechanics, the fielding. I have to manually set all those up again for the switch?Comment

Re: MLB the Show22 Switch talk
I've only played a few games. It is decent. I find the pitching and fielding seem to hold up well. I am having issues with batting as it is just so much smaller and I find it hard to pickup the pitch as it is released. The frame rate is only 30 and while that is not bad, it does seem to require a different feel for swinging. It's not the end of the world as you would easily get adjusted if you only played the switch. But going back and forth might be a little difficult. My hitting was much worse on the switch but again, only a few games.
I will update as I figure more out.
I will say, for those of you gamers over 40, you may need a good set of reading glasses to really appreciate the game. There is no way I could read the small text and see the fine nuisances without them. I haven't played the Vita version since 2015, so 7 years of not really doing portable gaming and I have to get used to it again. I usually sit back 10ft from my 75" TV and game in glorious 4k so this is going to take some getting used to.

Re: MLB the Show22 Switch talk
I really like it. I don't find any framerate issues with actual gameplay. Cut scenes are abysmal though. I just skip thru the cut scenes and appreciate having a portable full featured version of the show.2016 NLL Champion Saskatchewan Rush

Re: MLB the Show22 Switch talk
I play alot on my PS5, so the back and forth would be difficult with the switch? I also have gamepass and a razer kishi on my phone, it plays well enough and find it close timing wise to the 5 but thought about getting the switch version for my stability. Sounds like the game pass mobile version may be closer to the actual speed of the console versions?Comment

What is this "razer kishi" and how are you playing it on there? Is this a cloud based version of the MLB the Show 22 Xbox game that you stream and play remotely?I play alot on my PS5, so the back and forth would be difficult with the switch? Re: MLB the Show22 Switch talk
I thought not every game pass game is available to play on phone though. I have a Razer Kishi as well as Xbox game pass but I see no option to play the Show. It says only Xbox series X.https://www.razer.com/mobile-control...-02900200-R3U1
It is an xbox style controller that you plug your phone into. It is awesome, I use it to play xbox game pass games and MLB is a part of the XB game pass library.
How are you doing that?
Edit I see that it's available through game pass ultimate on android through the cloud. Any latency issues?Last edited by CujoMatty; 05-17-2022, 01:47 PM.2016 NLL Champion Saskatchewan Rush

Re: MLB the Show22 Switch talk
Not really, it's not perfect 100% of the time but when I am at my house it is so solid because I have a fast connection. I have tried it at a hotel or somewhere else where the speeds aren't as high as my home connection and it was rough to play. That was the only reason I was wondering about the switch performance for those times when I travel. I just don't want to have to adjust back and forth alot between that and the console versions if it's that much of a difference.I thought not every game pass game is available to play on phone though.
