    Timing hitting back?

I noticed that there’s a option for timing hitting? I haven’t seen that in about what, six years or so? I’m wondering if it would be easier or harder compared to directional hitting.

I thought the only real difference in timing and directional is with timing you're not trying to influence the direction of where you hit. I wonder if there is something else to go along with that to make it worthwhile calling 2 different modes

There’s got to be some difference considering you don’t have to influence direction with directional hitting. I’m just not sure what that would be.

I believe the pci automatically moves to a favorable position essentially and you are just influencing the timing portion

I have used timing hitting every year though MLBTS 20. I didn’t get the game last year so I can’t speak to that. (I’m old)

You can still influence the direction of the batted ball by swinging early / late just like irl.

Not necessarily favorable. It’s based on the player’s vision rating.

Im happy timing is in each its own now. I am using timing and i love it. It remind me of the old triple play days and mvp. Directional was cool but i always felt if I didn’t aim correctly i would miss out. But with timing its like user timing in nba 2k. I love it.

There is? I honestly didn't scroll thru the options and just settled on Directional since that's what Timing sort of evolved into.

Is timing confirmed? I didn't enjoy any batting style in particular with this option absent last year.

Haven't decided to buy it yet but this could sway me.

It is indeed back. Directional, Timing and Zone are your options. Analog is an input type for all 3.

I am surprised this wasn't mentioned at all pre-release, or I just didn't hear about it. I'm going to test it out and see how it compares with Directional.

I love it. I think its better then directional because it based on your timing. I would love to her your thoughts

Yes, this was long my preferred way to play until it was removed for Directional a few years back.

I jumped into an Exhibition game just to quickly see how it was and so far, so good. Good hit variety and saw a good mix of contact on pitches out of the zone (nothing ridiculous) and swings and misses on pitches in the zone (low and high corners) with good timing.

What level were you playing on any slider changes?

I might start a slider set for the first time in 16 years lol it would include timing hitting.
