    HR camera

Anyone knows if its possible to turn off the HR camera (U know when u hit a no doubter and the camera changes to the batter instead of following the ball)... I know it wasnt possible in past years... but maybe im missing something

Ah ok. weird stuff, such a simple thing to give the user the option.

Small correction: the HR camera was, in fact, optional years ago until they removed the option permanently...sometime around 2015 I believe.

2013 was the last year we had that option. Since then, SDS has ignored requests to bring this back, so I wouldn't count on seeing it anytime soon.

            Yes it has.

Many versions ago there was an option to turn off the home run camera and I wish it would come back!

I don't have the game to check Home Run Derby, but if you want to see how often they don't touch certain parts of their game, it's likely the option still sits there to turn it off, with no real effect to anything in the game itself.

Why do people not like the HR cam? I think it’s awesome. Love it when I connect on a no doubter and see the HR cam.

Some of us would actually prefer seeing the home run hit and where it land, instead of the batter reaction.

Also the in-game home run presentation is kind of immersion breaking for those looking for realism. A real MLB broadcast would usually focus on the home run ball until it land, then shift to the batter rounding the bases.

Well to be fair when you watch a player hit a no doubter on TV you just know it. Imagine if broadcasts immediately panned to the ball after contact, we would miss a lot of bat flips!

They do. Most times you see bat flips on replay.

Customization is aways welcome. I understand some plp love the HR cam but it should be an option as plp like me and many others would rather have the regular camera (when the CPU hits a no doubter theres no HR camera).

You're not alone. Despite a clear majority wanting to preserve the option, the devs refused to budge and even seemed slighted that people didn't like it. There's an industry term for this but I'll refrain from using it here.

I absolutely love the home run cams, and have for years. Really gives certain players a uniqueness and is very satisfying. One of the first things I do every year is go into the roster and see what the new home run swings look like.

However, I would have no problem with there being an option to turn it off as long as they didn’t get rid of it completely
