Re: Franchise, how do you decide which games to play?

So I'm terrible about keeping a franchise save alive. So I'm hoping this will keep me going. I read someone say play every 6th game and I like that idea. I'm going to so that and also I am swimming only to July and then play every 6th. This way it shortens the season for me and I'm not playing the "meaningless games" in April or may. Hoping this will allow me to get to the post season and off season more frequently.

I use wheeldecide.com and create a bunch of random categories such as: Play innings 1-3, 4-6, 7-9, play only odd innings, play even innings, quick manage game, player lock with OF, player lock with INF, etc. It's really fun and helps me enjoy the game a lot. It also allows me to finish entire seasons faster, but also keeps the pace slow enough to help me truly appreciate the team I have.

I tried in The Show 21 with the Phillies. Made it to the All Star break before 22 dropped

I like this idea. I may try this some.

I actually made one of these many years ago and I still use it. Link

I player lock as the player I created and play every game. It’s a nice combination of rtts and franchise. Get to do all the fun roster stuff but play games with the speed of rtts.

I play every game and every pitch. Have yet to finish a full season though.

Pick 1 Home series and 1 Away series each month. Cant be same team and can't pick same team in consecutive months
Oakland A's - Seattle Mariners - Detroit Tigers
Pittsburgh Steelers - Green Bay Packers
                  Detroit Red Wings

I usually play road games at parks I want to play in and games against starting pitchers that used to be on my team.

Yea, in 2020 during peak COVID time my brother and I were roommates and we each took control of a team and played every single inning of every game, including the playoffs where we met each other in the World Series which where I beat him in Game 7. I was the Mets and he was the A’s. Took us about 3 or 4 months to complete. It awesome lol. The Show 20’ was a was one of my favorite versions ever and the soundtrack was perfect too.

As I said before, I use Wheeldecide.com and I've included the wheels that I use here:

                        First I spin the PLAY or SIM wheel to see which option I'll be doing <iframe src="https://wheeldecide.com/e.php?c1=PLAY&c2=SIM&t=Franchise+%7C+Play+or+SIM&t ime=5" width="500" height="500" scrolling="no" frameborder="0"></iframe>
                        Next I'll use my Game # wheel to decide how many games I'll be playing or simming <iframe src="https://wheeldecide.com/e.php?c1=3&c2=4&c3=5&c4=6&c5=7&c6=8&c7=9&c8=10&col =rou&t=Franchise+%7C+How+Many%3F&time=5&weights=5, 5,5,3.5,3,2,1.5,1" width="500" height="500" scrolling="no" frameborder="0"></iframe>
                        Finally I will use the Game Type wheel to decide how I'll play each game <iframe src="https://wheeldecide.com/e.php?c1=Play+full+game&c2=Play+innings+1-5&c3=Play+innings+6-9&c4=Play+even+innings&c5=Play+odd+innings&c6=Play +innings+1-3&c7=Play+innings+4-6&c8=Play+innings+7-9&c9=Player+lock+SP&c10=Player+lock+INF&c11=Player +lock+OF&col=rou&t=Franchise+GAME+Choice&time=10" width="500" height="500" scrolling="no" frameborder="0"></iframe>

HAHA. It's weird cause when I opened it using the OS mobile app, it sends me to the food one. On the desktop, it's embedded in the post and has the numbers instead.

This is really cool. I might just pin this post and use it everyday. The "# of games" wheel is embedded correctly in post on desktop, but when using the OS app, it sends you to the link from wheeldecide.com and some "what type of food should we eat" wheel .

I'm going to save tab your post though cause this is a cool idea.
