I play every pitch of every game except when Bieber is on the mound. Then i sim his outing. Sim him, plays to ratings. Pitch with him, plays to ratings. Play against him, pitches to ratings. Plays like his stats. Plays like a Ace. Plays like a Cy young pitcher.
When it's time for him to toe the rubber, he plays like #4 aaa pitcher. Averages 5 innings at best. Averages 25 pitches a inning. Gives up at least 3 hrs an outing. Just about walks more the he strikes out. Never plays to his ratings. Just finished spring and if you went by stats, not only would he NOT make the opening day roster, idk if he'd make aaa
Really wish sports games played to ratings!
Only thing SIM about sports games now, are the team name and players

MLB 23 FOREVER 20 is better, 23 just for Guardians
Madden get rid of the extras (SS/XF, HFA, media, scenarios, game plan) or turn them down considerably.

I'm not saying you're lying but I play with Shane B all the time and he's great for me, wondering why you don't have that same success.

In my play franchise, I play great with him as well. In Manage mode (I have 2 franchises, one I play and the other is manage mode) he plays like he's never pitched a game before. He does not play to ratings. Manage mode I think plays more to programming then ratings. But that's a whole other topic. You would be amazed at the tendencies I see in Manage mode.
I broke my hand years back, and it's hard for me to play more then one game at a time. Manage mode let's me get through + seasons where my play franchise barely always 1 whole season. I love the concept of manage mode, but it is the same every year. I see the tendencies instead of randomness.

I'm 3 games from end of spring. His Era is 6.57, SO 18, BB 15, WHIP 2.87, HR 13. If you didn't know the pitcher, would you start him let alone be your Ace?

Might just be a bad stretch.

Yes. I am hoping it's just a spring thing. Lol.

Yeah its not that uncommon to have bad stretches with good pitchers.

Usually play 10, sim 10 or if I have a pitcher that I want to have just a dominant season I'll play most of his starts and just kinda play as I go or Sim as I go but still play his starts.

Right now my goal is to turn Daniel Espino into a monster

Re: Franchise, how do you decide which games to play?

I have to play all of them, might be a sickness idk.

I even feel like I should be playing all my AAA games too. I don’t, but I want to, and would if it were feasible.

I just already know that game #76 in 2026 is not an inherently better experience than my next game will be, so every game is one I’m itching to play. Zero reason to sim.
                        Just one man’s opinion.
I don’t actually care about any of this.

I play my AAA games since IRL my team's AAA team is across town so I follow them too. Yes, it's insane I use fast play and quick counts though to cut down the time spent on AAA. I'll even play AA on one of my MLB team's off days if I feel like it.

Although once the real season is over, I tend to sim AAA/AA games and maybe just do one game per series if I do any at all.

Back when I lived in Rochester and your Twins were affiliated with them I played an entire 144 as Rochester. Everything was auto except I allowed myself to change that day’s lineup. I flirted with a playoff spot until the Twins decimated the prospect pool at the deadline and I finished way way back. It was fun in a different sort of way.

maybe try setting him up to succeed. when and where you can, pith him on the road and at night.
                              this is why I like carrying 7 SP's, 5 RP's & a Closer for my Rotation & Bullpen
I have 2 ''long relievers'' that I can choose to start and delay a start of one of my regular 5 if needed. and I'm constantly calling up and down from the minors other relievers to keep my bullpen fresh. I just have to keep those relievers in Class A ball or the Triple A & Double A mgrs. will use them also too as well and eat up their stamina

Well, ending spring, I don't have but 5 guys I would start the season with in lineup or rotation. However I'd start all my other 40 man guys if I went by stats alone. We all know that isn't possible, and when regular season starts they will play more regular. It just makes storylines a little harder. It will work out throughout the season. I am actually thinking of starting the season with Civale opening the season and moving Bieber to 2nd. That's a storyline.......
