They updated the Rawlings catcher gear model. Finally, instead of having the Rawlings "R" logo, it's the full text one

Maybe this is indicative that they’ll be coming back to the gloves before the cycle ends.

Curious, did they also fix how the main logo on the chest protectors doesn’t change color? It should be tied to the trim color since there’s no option for logo color, but it should not just stay white. Same question with “logo 2” color option which has been broken on everything.

My *** is beyond chapped that we will never get the Nike Hurache Low Cleats that most of the players wear 🤦*♂️

Might be old news but I’m noticing this year that no one irl tapes their bat handles as high as they do in this game anymore.

Not a biggie but it really does change the look of the bat considerably, especially w certain colors.

It still blows my mind and my biggest gripe. Especially in DD with guys wearing high tops looking goofy as hell. Like guys please add the most common shoe in the game it's been 3 years.

Bruce Bolt equipment is also missing from the game. I've noticed quite a few cubs players wearing their sleeves and batting gloves most notably, Ian Happ and Morel. It is the gear with the lightening bolt as the logo.

Safe to conclude that the Afterburner 8’s aren’t going to be making it into this year’s game? Considering this is one of the two most widely worn cleats in the league, this seems pretty inexcusable to me. But, here we are, halfway through the season and still nothing.

Missing equipment

For those that play DD and RTTS, does the equipment available to earn or purchase in those modes dwarf the ones available in franchise mode? From what I see in the store, it appears there is at least a 50% more equipment available compared to franchise. I wish they would allow you, in franchise, to customize player equipment in a rotation so that different equipment options are used by the players depending on road/home games or indoor outdoor, cold/hot etc…..

With the exception of the Adidas Afterburner 8's (which are on the market but still not available in game for some reason) the only equipment that is on the market but can't be applied to players in franchise mode are the bat-skins and custom stance socks (they also consider "rituals" as equipment since they give attribute boosts to your RTTS character, but those are meaningless outside of RTTS).

The missing Adidas cleats are frustrating, and there are few weird color blocking issues on some items, but overall it's a pretty good selection of equipment.

I feel like a broken record but it blows my mind that in 2022, this game doesn’t have any detailed equipment customization or shoe creation tools. It would be cool if they would allow equipment to influence a players ratings in franchise like its does in RTTS OR DD. In real sports players try new equipment all the time like switching bats and gloves based on if they are comfortable with it. Would add immersion to the mode.

It'd be cool for Franchise to have an option to edit home and away equipment for players. In NBA 2K, it allows you to edit players' equipment such as accessory colors and types of shoes (including shoe colors) for home and away games. I'd like to see a similar feature added for The Show.

Hey SDS! I doubt you will see this but please for the love of God can you do the following it’s 2022 next gen for crying out loud!

ADD:


-thumb ring for batters


- hand pads for batters

- allow us to put elbow guards over jersey sleeves

- allow us to tighten sleeves of our jersey and open or close buttons on the jersey

- add different types of chains and jewelry

- add runner oven mitt please and allow us to put it in our back pocket

- Please allow us to choose the length of our bat tape

- allow us to customize our fielding gloves ie: logo color stitching how worn and dirty the glove looks and the type of leather and more web types too!

- Add the cleats that the pros actually wear

- Allow us to shift our shin guard around

Baseball is about style and comfort more now than it has ever been we need these options!

Sorry for the long itemized post, but I’m a gear head and atm these limited options kill immersion. It’s been like ten years of the same ole models! They better bring it in ‘23 or this might be the last year I purchase this game! Rant over!
