Interested in this … are your saves cross gen? I don’t see my PS4 saves showing up on my PS5 version of the game. Is this possible?

Do all of the edits travel from one version to the next? Equipment edits, batting stance edits, ratings adjustments, etc?

Yea the only thing that doesn’t is my dynamic difficulty level…equipment edits definitely did

I don't think it will ever get to the depths of SOTS but I believe that is the direction we will see for PS5/Xbox.

I only have PS4 so I can’t suggest which is better but do agree with country boy on SOTS may not be coming back.

If it does, it won’t be the way of mp3 I’m guessing because it seems Microsoft doesn’t allow unlicensed music support on their consoles.

That said, IF it was included, it would be some sort of Spotify integration.

You’d go to SOTS, click insert win song (or whatever slot), and choose the song from your Spotify account.

SOTS pack makers would make their list on Spotify and there ya go.

This would cover Microsoft’s concern, gain new fans to SOTS because it’s easier on the user/sots pack makers and I’m sure Shopify (or whatever partnering music provider) wouldn’t mind.

I don’t think the implantation of it would be difficult, but there’s much we don’t know about these Sony/Microsoft/mlb agreements and legalities.

I’m glad to have SOTS on ps4 this year and don’t have a decision to make cause I don’t have a ps5.

I actually have a gaming pc and my hope is mlb 23 goes to PC. If that happens, I don’t think I gotta worry. The modding world is incredible and someone will find how to get custom music in the game.

Hey KB … I’m really interested in how you do this cross save in the cloud to be able to play the same chise on both versions.

Would you please be able to provide more info on how exactly you do this?

When I’m ready to switch over I’ll upload it to the cloud…then I’ll switch over to the other system and go to franchise at the main menu…I’m on ps4/ps5 so I hit the square button and it should give you the option to download from the cloud…your franchise should appear and then load where you left off on the other system

IMO playing both versions on the ps5 I see little to no difference between the two. I play the PS4 version on balanced so I take a slight resolution hit but worth it for sounds of the show. Gameplay feels identical to me

This is actually really great. I think you’re onto something. It could be using the PS4 version with SOTS for big home games, and using the PS5 version for away games, or something like that.

This could be an amazing idea and I thank you so much for it!

To your knowledge, everything carries over (ratings, equipment, franchise roster, etc)? That would be my only worry, is if certain things to carry over from one version of the game to the other via the cloud … but if you’ve seen it all move easily from one to the other, I’d love to do this

Yea the only thing that doesn’t carryover is the dynamic difficulty…I’m on legend+ difficulty on ps5 but haven’t played enough games on ps4 so I’m only on hall of fame difficulty on ps4

                        gotta couple things here:
first, does Nintendo Switch do SotS?
second, if MLB convinced Sony it was for the overall betterment of the game to put the Show on XBox & give up their right to console exclusiveness, then Sony should meet with MLB to ''what good for the goose good for the gander'' and have MLB convince Microsoft it's for the betterment of the game to have SotS on XBox
                        that is all.

I play ps5 and I turn the sound down so I can barely hear it. Created stadiums are a big feature.

The only ps5 game I own is mlb the show and I still have my ps4 but it is unplugged.
