Anyone have any suggestions for difficulty level and settings to ultimately get a realistic career experience within reason?

Kind of difficult to answer as it’s all based on your skill level. What do you find unrealistic about it? I use dynamic difficulty when I first start playing to help me dial in the right level, then I lock it to a difficulty. All Star gets me realistic hitting stats, but not everyone.

This. I did the same, dynamic difficulty which pretty much adjusts your hitting, pitching and fielding depending on how good and bad you are until you hit your "best" level, then I do what you do and lock the difficulty there. Generally have realistic stats when it comes to hitting and OBP when doing that as well. Even if it only gives you an average you can then tweak the sliders from there to get your personal slider and setting preference.

Any ideas on how to make my teammates a bit better?? I’m entering year 7 and haven’t made it to the postseason despite becoming the premier power hitter in the MLB. Time after time, I’ll watch the guy behind me strike out and bat around .200.

I play on a low difficulty because I like to just casually rake but I feel it may be hurting my teammates. For the first couple of years I was on the Twins and I didn’t expect much. Then I got traded to the Rays and our pitching was rated well but always got lit up. Then I did a stint on the Phillies, same story and have finally signed with the Giants. My teammates ratings are high 80’s/low 90’s in the middle of the order and my pitching is above average rating wise but they don’t seem to play to it.

I like that we have to fight for the playoffs and it keeps it interesting but I’m kinda thirsty for some playoff action.

I don’t like diving down the slider road but if there are some simple tweaks I may be missing, I’m all ears.

The last paragraph of this post is quite possibly the funniest thing I have ever read in my life.

It's a huge shame as I am really enjoying it, but after 50 games I'm already at 40 for speed and 41 for clutch, I'll be at the max before the end of the first season at this rate and have no more in game progression, which seems a huge waste. (same for off day training)

My player is having a whale of a time, while being absolutely hated by his manager. Twice I've been called into his office and asked, then told, to stop trying to steal bases all the time. I responded by going full on Randy Marsh and declaring "oh so you just don't want me to improve my all around game?!" which was fun. Not sure what happens next as I don't intend to stop stealing, despite my 9 success, 12 fail ratio at the moment. I assume this is why I am still in AA, as I am mashing the ball, but my defence is hilariously bad and my baserunning is that of a 12 year old who's been promised a dollar for every steal he gets

You were expendable bro look at Wander's contract. Any real GM is trading you for a haul.

So I decided to restart my maxed out SS (93 ovr) on a new team....the Rays. They have a good, young, talented minor league system.

I figured even though they have Wander Franco, he is an 82 ovr....surely they would rather have ME at SS?!

LOL, of course not...got the old, change position or we are trading you talk. If I wanted to play RF, I would have made an RF.

So they traded me to the Brewers.

18 year old, 93 OVR SS traded because they are "set at SS" with 82 ovr Wander Franco....lol.

Like I said, all you can do is laugh at the scripted garbage....
