Does anyone know if these updates will be applied to existing save files? For Example if I start a franchise today, will the equipment and name files update within that franchise? or will I need to restart?

I know NBA 2K has the ability to update existing offline saves with this kind of stuff but not sure about MLB The Show.

As far as equipment and name files, yes I believe those would be added universally throughout the game....no need to start new, however you need to manually apply amy new equipment to your players in franchise mode. Same with names for created players.

However.....it is not confirmed that they will be adding that stuff in the next update. That is just speculation

Awesome.

Please take the beards off of Yankees players Josh Donaldson, Isiah Kiner Falefa, Marwin González, and the long hair and beard off of Miguel Castro.

Also, please make Luis Rojas (#67) the third base coach for the Yankees, and if Travis Chapman cannot contractually be added to the game yet, please at least make the Yankees first base coach be a white guy with NO BEARD wearing #75.

If you aren't going to let us edit the coaches, at least stop putting beards on the Yankees coaches when you give us a fake coach.

For all the attention to detail that SDS shows in so many areas of the game, it baffles me that they do not update Yankee players or coaches to no facial hair versions. At least not in a timely manner. Game was released with at least 3 or 4 players having facial hair and the coaches as you said.

For all the attention to detail that SDS shows in so many areas of the game, it baffles me that they do not update Yankee players or coaches to no facial hair versions. At least not in a timely manner. Game was released with at least 3 or 4 players having facial hair and the coaches as you said.

They were traded like 3 weeks before the game came out....when exactly were they supposed to scan Donaldson and Kiner-Falefa to update their faces in game?

Let's at least wait and seen if they updated them in the roster update Friday

Yes indeed would be nice. Although the beard removing of the actual players can happen like in past versions in a update they will not bother to address any of the fake coaches looks or add real ones once game is out cuz thats not any bit of a thing to them. i actually fire the fake ones and add a simliar guy but the # is still wrong. how is rojas not there anyway? since ive been doing all roster work since early launch i havnt even played a inning yet so my question is do they STILL have the same bearded ball boy with the big head that appears to be 42yrs old? taking the foul balls..been there like 7 yrs now. or did they remove the animations at least?

All the fake coaches basically have #1-#25, so for the Yankees, you're never going to get one with a number that's either not retired or not being used.

I just wish they would let us set what the fake coach's number could be. I'm not trying to illegally create Luis Rojas or whoever if they aren't in the Union or whatever, I'll hire a fake guy and keep his fake name, I just want to be able to set the correct number. I don't see why that's so hard for them to add or why they refuse?

Why can't I just hire a fake guy and a prompt pops up and says "select uniform number" and I can choose whatever number I want? Seems so simple. Again, I've been complaining about this for over a decade.

The patch hasn't been released yet.

The server update only fixes the SP/RP energy in 3 inning games

Its because there isn't a line of code in the game that states to remove facial hair from any player/coach that is on the Yankees.

I would imagine this is done because fans want players to have actual face scans in the game, and if a player has facial hair there isn't a way to have a face scan of that player without facial hair in the event he ends up with the Yankees.

Would be pretty swell if we could change facial hair for any player and it grew during playoffs like NHL 16-22. Reminds me of the 2013 Red Sox and Mike Napoli’s beard tug. Of course, NHL has maybe 50 scans total which really sucks.

I would definitely like them to have more real coaches in the game and make them editable, but I also get how that isnt all that likely

I would love for Kwan's name to be in the game. But he basically came out of nowhere and literally doesn't even have a real baseball card yet. I can understand why his name wasn't recorded. He was in Triple A last year so it's understandable.

Don't agree at all. look at all the other AAA guys that have audio in the game. Julio has audio. so does Tomikson Witt etc etc Kwan was going to be in the 25 roster and known to be there longer then those guys .
