Is this only rolling out to some regions at first? I don't have this update yet (though I did get The Show's update 4.....)

I kept thinking that I didn't get it either, but go to settings on your PS5. Then system, then click on System Feature Updates. It'll take a few seconds and then say you have the updated features. Then go back to settings, Screen and Video, and then you should see VRR as an option.

That's what I had to do so maybe you do too

Hmm, okay, that was weird. I guess I was expecting it to be a firmware update (done through the System > System Software Update and Settings menu). Went to System Feature Updates like you said, it told me I had all the latest updates, then the screen and video settings had it (and it was definitely not there before I went to feature updates).

I have the option now. Thanks for the help.

Playing on a 75” Sony 900H, the input lag on fast balls is definitely gone. I have a 65” LG C1 in the basement and I’ll try that next. Colors seems slightly better as well.

So is the move to check yes or no for Apply to Unsupported Games? I didn’t see MLB on the supported list, yet

I left it off but I haven’t had any issues so far.

And, correct me if I’m wrong, but MLB 22 doesn’t have an option for Quality or Performance modes, right? Didn’t 21 have that setting somewhere?

Wish there was a way to see the current FPS on the screen. Just enough nerd in me that I’d like to see that in the corner sometimes.

Some tv's and monitors have fps counters built in.

Isn’t there a universal setting on the ps5 that allows the game to either start in performance or resolution?

Curious to hear about your LG lag. I have the same one and even if the lag was pretty low compared to my previous Samsung, now it’s even lower because I’m early on fastballs ( even with increasing to 5 from 4) and when pitching to meter, I had to adjust or i was always pressing it before the bar now.

My LG game optimizer menu indicate it’s running at 120 FPS

Same experience I had with the Sony but haven’t tried the LG yet maybe today or tomorrow but the experience was already good.

I have the LG C1 and after the VRR update, I am seeing all sorts of new hit variety bc my timing is so much better. I'm hitting alot more balls to center field than I did before.

I know lolll. The difference is crazy.

I never fouled so many 98mph fastballs on 3B side

Good thing…i can crank up the Speed to rebalance it.

Don’t know if you’re a Meter Pitching guy but give it a try. I bet you’ll press too early too ;-)

EDIT: i still don’t see huge FPS drop some others are reporting. Is it in link with the different TV-Setup each have ?

I saw some dips yesterday when I first started playing but today I'm not seeing any anymore. And I have VRR on automatic, and I turned it on for non supported games as well. And I have 120hz turned on automatic in the system settings as well.
